This actually happened on a ship I was on. It was surreal to see super rich people dressed so beautifully laying on the floor, holding the bottoms of the tables and barfing everywhere. But most were Brits and Irish so they were hilariously self-deprecating about it rather than flipping out the way a rich American Karen would.

I imagined this film to be about three different things only to realize it’s an awesome version of Gilligan’s Island. What would _you_ do if you were stranded with others on a deserted island and didn’t have the trappings of your social status?

The social status would follow them for a while, at least until their safety or survival was in danger. Everyone is going to behave under the impression that there is a real world to go back to. You can't flip out and a day later the rescue boat shows up. You'll arrive home without a job. People are a lot more trapped in their statue than they realize.

Have you seen "Swept Away"? It was made twice, decades apart. The role of the castaway man is played in the first version by the father of the man who played the castaway son in the second version, which starred Madonna.

@@incaseofamnesia6380 Good point. I think it’s in our nature to form hierarchies but it’s based on the environment, as well as what is deemed valuable and who has it. In this scenario, money holds no weight. So if they’re stranded long enough, there may be a shift in power from the “have and have-nots” to the “can’t and can-dos”.

Having no idea who Harris Dickinson was, but seeing it after Woody Harrelson's name, I 100% expected to watch a trailer of a movie, where Harrelson is really playing a character but also playing another actor who also plays a character, to make some artistic point. But this is good too.

It totally is. For something being touted as a comedy-it’s not. Just wasted 2 1/2 hours because I figured it would be amusing with Woody Harrelson ion it-it isn’t. He’s hardly in it.
