The fact that there is no pork, means it is probably made with cream because no pork means no grease from it, which is base with the eggs and the starch from the cooking water for making the carbonara souce. So, at best, that is "white" carbonara as it is called sometimes. So, as Yoda used to say, carbonara it is not. Making carbonara with cream is like making egg fried rice with left over risotto, olive oil and parmesan cheese.

@@ianm2170 I know what it means, but I'm referring to the appearance, it should have enough pepper to look like coal according to some Italians. I believe in Sicily alla carbonara means pasta cooked with squid or cuttlefish ink which gives the color. I don't make the rules, look it up. By that logic then, using any dark meat would also give the color, hence beef being fine in my mind. You don't have to like their interpretation but I don't care either way, I don't "respect" food, because that's all it is, just a way to stay alive and possibly taste good, so take your stupid outrage somewhere else.

The traditional genuine Italian dish💯👋♥️ "Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with eggs, hard cheese, cured pork, and black pepper. The dish arrived at its modern form, with its current name, in the middle of the 20th century. The cheese is usually Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano-Reggiano, or a combination of the two Main ingredients: Guanciale (or pancetta), eggs, hard cheese (usually Pecorino Romano, Parmesan, or a mixture), black pepper ♥️ Variations: Using penne, or adding cream, garlic, or vegetables

My gram broke hers years ago and they gave her a temporary set while she was waiting for the repair. They generally don't go through the process of fitting the temps like they do with the permanent sets and they never fit right. Not sure if that's the case but I thought it might be a possibility. Someone in that conversation also said that they'd sent him several tubes of adhesive weeks ago, so I guess he has it if he needs it. Maybe the channel will address it in time??

Carbonara actually is a pretty recent dish, it comes from post World War 2 Italy when the most abundant foods were many times the bacon and eggs fed to victorious American soldiers, and the normal Italian ingredients were not available. The Italian people used the bacon and eggs, along with flour, to make a filling pasta dish for themselves.

Carbonara has its roots in ancient times, simple and obtainable to the poorer classes yet loved by all. Pasta, eggs, pecorino romano, black pepper and cured pork cheek.

@@evilclowntra From the Wiki. I’m not Italian and Wiki is frequently wrong, so it may be a mix of both. This the story I was told by Chef last time Carbonara was a special in the restaurant. “The carbonara name is first attested in 1950, when it was described in the Italian newspaper La Stampa as a dish sought by American officers after the Allied liberation of Rome in 1944. It was described as a "Roman dish" at a time when many Italians were eating eggs and bacon supplied by troops from the United States. “

In deference for their faith, they used beef instead of a cured pork in the carbonara. I'm sure it tastes fine, but a bit of piggy is certainly a missing flavor layer.

All dishes traditional or not switch the original ingredients in the recipe in order to make it Muslim approved.. in my opinion only," it kind of takes away the countries and the chefs pride for their original creation. A countries famous dish and creators of the dish deserve more respect.

@@focu2567 This isn't the first dish that's been handled this way on TPT. For what it's worth, I sort of agree. There are so many dishes that don't have pork in them or alcohol or other dietary prohibitions of Islam. Why not just make those?

Please tell Mr Gull Sher that he can go to a jeweler and have one of the links on his watch removed so that it fits his wrist and will not slide up and down. He can do it himself by watching a video online. Jewelers usually do not even charge for it and it just takes a minute to do.
