I was raised on beans. We ate them often because they were so affordable. Charro beans usually have more juice in them, and if eaten like a meal would be served with tortillas, corn or flour. We also ate a lot of butter beans with ham and cornbread on the side. Beans and fried potatoes are about two of the best simple dishes you can serve in Texas. Beans, beans, magical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot.

I don't happen to care for the combination of spices or even the various levels of heat available with the flavor profile common in Mexican cuisine, and in other cuisines that rely on similar spices. I think there are just as many folks around who are not into the volatility or these kinds of flavors as those who are aficionados. I'm not dissing the food, any country's traditions or tastes, or people whose palates are accustomed to and really appreciate certain cuisines. I say try new things and see what you like. It's okay if you don't particularly like something. Never thumbs-down a whole cuisine on the basis of one dish, though. But it's okay if you find a certain style of cooking, and/or certain ingredient combinations, or blander or spicier tastes not primarily to your liking.

If I go to a restaurant, I'll get fajitas which really isn't authentic and then just pick out the meat. My husband loves it though. I can eat my husband's salsa kind of. Charro is just Mexican Spanish for Cowboy so it is the same in both languages..These are probably what you get in Texas if you order"Beans" except that they don't use sausage.Sausage and red beans is common in Louisiana,in Texas it would be brown "pinto"beans and smoked meat more often.It is typically served with cornbread in Kentucky and they don't add tomatoes or as much spice.To get rid of the "flat''taste beans like this can have you can use resinous herbs like oregano added to the spices or a dash of vinegar before it is served like with Cuban Black Beans.Louisiana red beans would have alot of hot chiles added.

This is an amazing video and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's another time of the year. One need to set goals and take bold steps in achieving them. Remember success are not obtained overnight. Well, from my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. So far I've made over $325k since September last year in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it if you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key to short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
@davidbrown1005

@Aventurada Estrada My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like I have a particular fund I invest in, plus I don't do that but myself. I follow the trades of Karen Gaye Gray. She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial adviser as her diversification skills are top notch, I'm saying because I see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike I can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

>feels like I'm eating peanuts or almonds Now here's a bean dish I might be into! I'm not a fan of mushy, mealy beans but I do like firm beans like soybeans. I'll give these a try the next time I see them!

If you don't like mushy beans (as I don't) you won't like this. For me beans need to either be 'crunchy' or 'moist'.

I think he was trying to say it was a food to chew - not mushy. Sometimes, one uses a word incorrectly. I watched them chew - rubber doesn't describe their chewing. LOL
