We have native tribes in America. It would be interesting to them try Native American food. A good easy one to make is Navajo fry bread and mutton(lamb).

Mutton refers to the flesh of the mature ram or ewe at least one year old; the meat of sheep between 12 and 20 months old may be called yearling mutton. The meat of sheep 6 to 10 weeks old is usually sold as baby lamb, and spring lamb is from sheep of age five to six months.

For those interested in trying any hot food challenge. Use gloves or a napkin to hold it, don’t touch eyes, nose or sensitive areas. You can eat or drink milk or ice cream however it will only temporarily and slightly relieve the pain, DO NOT OVEREAT OR OVERDRINK MILK, that alone will cause you to regurgitate just as it would if you didn’t eat a hot food. If you want to remove the spice from hands you should go outside with water, make mud and muddy your hands then rinse the, off after holding it for a while. These tips are all from Ed Currie who made multiple of the worlds hottest peppers and recently made even hotter one called pepper ex. You can watch his interviews if you look up his name, he is a VERY nice guy and probably one of my favorite humans.

In Saipan, The Northern Marianas Island, we have what we call 'Donni". We use a 'Boonie pepper" meaning it grows in the boonies...it grows wild in the jungle from the Spanish days hundreds of years ago. We grind it up with rock salt, vinegar and garlic. I took some back to Hawaii for my Indian friends from Calcutta and they couldn't handle it. LOL
