Namjoon's and Yoongi's connection is very special. Out of BTS, those two have been together the longest; they were respectively member #1 and #2, in order of joining the team. They are both extremely passionate about their craft and it shows, plus they share a lot their teenage dream of making it as musicians and artists. It's very very special. You know how age is super important in terms of authority in Korea, but Namjoon is like in the medium of the BTS' members ages. Namjoon is one year younger than Yoongi. That made Namjoon feel a bit odd in the beginning of the group, because he felt like he might at times be perceived as somewhat disrespectful towards Yoongi but Yoongi holds a deep respect and admiration for Namjoon, and he has reassured Namjoon of how he feels countless times. It is important to mention they bad this sort of rivalry in the beginning of the group since they both had been rapping already and came from the underground scene too. They used to fight a lot, their personalities and ways of conducting themselves kinda clashing. And that is remembered very fondly nowadays, with memories of very silly fights (like throwing just-folded laundry at each other or shoes because of arguments aha). Also that feeling of mutual respect between Namjoon and Yoongi is a very important aspect of their relationship. They actually recorded a song under BTS that is a duo of them, called "Respect". It's a chill and funny song, but that title alone conveys a lot how they feel about each other: a well-founded sense of respect (Edit: completed something that was missing and corrected some mispelling mistakes)

I feel like you'd enjoy Encyclopaedia of Useless Knowledge a lot, the show Namjoon was recording at the time. It is a show in which ppl with expertise from different fields just talk about life and different aspects of it and of what it is to be human. Namjoon was invited to be a moderator, together with a cinema director.

I love when reactors watch more than just music videos. Especially videos like this, where they get to know BTS as persons.

Yoongi and Namjoon have such a great chemistry with each other. Their rapport and tendency to balance each other in a conversation is such a powerful thing. It's a good thing that they were the two first BTS members. Their bond and vision for the group really set a solid foundation for what the songwriting, storytelling, moral compass and overall ethos of BTS music was built on. Even when they have a chat like in this interview, the way their minds work and the way they see the world perfectly reflects what you think of when you think of the most meaninful and deep BTS lyrics. I love how all of the members bring something unique and necessary to the group. None of them are expendable.

So about that quantum physics prof... Joon was in a show called "The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge" along with other experts. It's an educational show about mankind and I think it's right up your alley! I remember you saying you wanted to learn a new thing every day and bro youll learn a lot from it.

Every Suchwita episode is so good! Suga is a natural host. The sneak previews are funny where they halfway try to hide the guest’s face with a giant cgi sugar cube but we can always tell who it is.

so if the boys want to return as a group by 2025, all of them will be in the military by early/mid 2024. but again, this depends on what the members want to do with their individual schedules. could be earlier, could be later, who knows. i think most ARMYs are anticipating a comeback sometime in 2026, since it will take time for them to adjust to their lives post-military. nonetheless, we are patiently waiting, while enjoying all their solo projects :))

I love Suchwita so much. These two have deep conversations. Namjoon and Yoongi are so smart to the point the always throw random and intellectual facts to explain and connect something in a artistic way lol I love them so much 💜

whenever these two are together or someone mentions that they know each other or someone mentions their friendship, yoongi will ALWAYS, always remind everyone how long they've known each other. I dunno if there's a compilation video of this but he always says it "I've known him for 10 years now.." "We've known each other for 12 years and lived together for half of those." i appreciate the content they produce for us... yoongi started this show just to give members a platform like this to talk about their solo albums and entertain army's. the goofy side during run bts eps, the deep lyrics that hit, the interviews where theyre nervous or humble, the behind the scenes content of them working, the dance practices. they share so many sides with us, you sit here and really see them as multifaceted and authentic from so many angles. its actually so fun to be a fan and get a clear sense of their art just bc i know them so well now

each has to serve 18 months so you just count that from the day each enlists. jin has enlisted in the beginning of december, so he's coming bak in the beginning of june 2024. hobi is scheduled to enlist somewhen this week (we dont know the date to ensure his safety and privacy) so he should be back in october 2024. the rest of the members are planning to enlist after their solo projects and schedules are finished, the schedule not disclosed. but you can expect them all to enlist by the end of 2023 or 1-st/2nd quater of 2024. that's the latest date to enlist if they want to reunite in some day in 2025 as they promised

They have to serve in the military for 18 to 21 months, depending on the division they're assigned to. Jin started his service in December, so he'll be out in June 2024. J-hope will probably start in April, since his enlistment has been announced by the company today, so he'll be out in October 2024. The rest will probably enlist by the end of 2023, after they each release their solo albums and complete their solo activities, so they'll be out by mid-2025.

The Indigo album is beautiful and a masterpiece. If any BTS songs got played/promoted in the US, there are a few songs on the album that would be even bigger hits and all over the place. I think some people think that RM and Suga aren't as close as the other members just how they are around each other. However, I personally don't think so. I think that they just show their love for each other differently. Plus, both RM and Suga's love for music is pretty everything to them. I am not saying that isn't for the rest of the members, but you can just tell the love it (more like obsessed with it) RM and Suga has for it. You will hear him on one of the songs on Indigo but Tablo (from Epik High; a group that were HUGE rap influence in Korea, also RM and Suga are their fans) was asked during an interview how it was working with RM and he pretty much said, "RM and Suga are who we are closest too but anytime we/they are together literally the only thing they talk about is music. They are like obsessed with it and when one is that obsessed with music you can't create a bad song. So, I agreed to work with him before even knowing what the beat sounded like. (paraphrased)." Anyways I mention this because RM and Suga show their love through music and that is their passion. So, while they might not look as close compared maybe other member in other interviews you have to realize that their love is music, and they bond over that. Music and talking about music are one way they are close. Also, both RM and Suga kind of have similar but different personalities for different things..Anyways I am rambling too much, hopefully this makes sense... RM is very smart, but I think some people forget that Suga is also very smart as well. I mean he could understand everything RM was saying and even added to it with his own knowledge. If you look you can see how RM holds his arms/hand while pouring and drinking and how he reaches out holding his glass with both hands when Yoongi pours it. All is Korean Culture and alcohol culture etc. when drinking with someone older, you should also turn away from the one who's older. And also just polite stuff and age hierarchy etc. + if you understood the language there is also how you speak formal to older and use honorifics etc, all lost in translation though. 22:33 RM jokes that Yoongi can say "hey Jin-ah" to Jin instead of calling him "Jin-hyung" because in international age they are both 30 now until Jin's birthday in dec. Yoongi is born 93 and Jin 92 and in Korea you just count the year, your age change at new year and not at the birthday so in Korean age they are never the same age and in Korea there are age hierarchy so Yoongi should speak formal and use honorifics like hyung when talking to Jin, that's the joke here and why Yoongi says no and that he should still be polite. Also putting -ah at the end of a name is just to people of the same age or younger.

Suga is like a shy fanboy in front of Taeyang, whose group BigBang (active 17 yrs) the BTS members have loved so much since they were kids. Suga also looks up to Tablo from Epik High ( group active for 20 years, he was in Indigo- All Day) but he is a good friend so their dynamic was more relaxed.

Yes RM is always spittin lol he's so well spoken and he has this amazing ability to say things in a profound and relatable way, and it shows in his lyrics for sure. Poet is a very apt description for him. I love his ability to recognize these things everyone experiances and give them new meaning and perspective, it's a wonderful gift/skill. N every member brings something to the table that's genuine and thought provoking in their own way. Thats one of the many reasons why we stan honestly 💜 I love that suga and the members are all branching out n making their stamp on the industry as individuals. Ofc they've been doing so but not quite to the same degree, it's exciting n I'm looking forward to what they do in the future always. Bts has always been consistent about evolving as artists, it's incredibly admirable.

I could listen to these two talk forever, and Suga is a fantastic interviewer. Whether you watch them when you dive into "Suga Week" or sometime after, I highly recommend the other Suchwita episodes (obviously the most recent with Jimin, but also the others in between). Every conversation is so interesting, and cover a wide breadth of topics. Plus, the interactions are awesome, and as is tradition, the edits are always on point.

INDIGO is really so special to me, that's the first album i bought with my first salary. RM, SUGA and also rest of the bts members are so knowledgeble and has great speaking skills. Especially SUGA and NAMJOON are vast thinkers. When they speak you can do nothing but listen to them with whole attention and everthing they say just seems right. After you listen to them speak, you feel like you've gained tons of knowledge.

regarding the song, 'No. 2' that they talked about (17:34) - when park jiyoon was 18 years old, she was pressured by her company to release a song that talked about losing her virginity to an older man called, "coming of age ceremony" without knowing any better - the mv and the choreo were also kind of racy for the time. she was shunned and berated by a lot of people and grew to hate that she had that concept given to her bc people spread rumors about her personal life. she said it ruined her for a period of time. so now, as a 41 year old woman, on No. 2 singing, "don't look back / no looking back / you will protect yourself now" is just sooo meaningful and beautiful. RM is so thoughtful; he and all the members always lift other people up.

There is a thing called "Festa" - it is basically a period of time around BTS debut anniversary where they organize some events/videos for ARMY. But there is this one thing. Festa Dinner. And I hope one day you will react to it, especially the one in 2022. And If you do and start talking about BTS bond like you did in this episode (when RM said he wants to make music for BTS in 2025) I will CRY. Like, I already got very emotional with Suchwita, but Festa Dinner 2022 is where serious tears come. It is fine when Chapter 2 is going well, but on the day of Festa release we were a sobbing mess.

you should definitely try soju, the peach flavor in particular is really delicious. but be careful, it doesn't really taste like it's alcoholic and before you know it, you had 2 bottles. i wasn't that drunk but it provided me with my first! hangover ever and a stuffy nose for the whole next day. was extremely surprised when i found out that 1 1/2 bottles of soju is considered a high limit for koreans.
