Hi Dave,your granddad was a great friend of my father's. My dad was a sergeant in the Kings Owns Scottish Borders and i think that's where they met. I had the privilege of meeting your granddad when he was manager at Colchester United, Jock was extremely hospitable and a prefect gentleman.

im 49 and from leicester, people my age remeber the wallace era, i recall he had the squad running up a fking great sandhill to keep them fit. i used to love the interveiws as a kid, im sure 90 per cent of us hadnt a clue what he said, but the aura of the man, said he meant whatever it was he said, rip jock.
