While it's sitting in the shop you should spray it down with F 11 top coat. It will give it a good layer of protection.

The 5” stacks turned back, the twin white cb antennas, all the bullet lights, changing all the lights to round, and the drop visor. 🔥🔥🔥🤤 The only thing I think that’s missing is an old school KW glitter ball shifter knob.

Nice truck Mike. Thanks for the truck show, my hats off to all who bring there trucks out, they were beautiful. Quick story, around 2005 I made a pool water delivery to a modest house with a nice pool. I was driving a kenworth w900 pulling a short tanker. Anyway I got to talking with the home owner, nice guy, who while we were talking kept looking at the truck . I ask him what he did for a living and his eyes lit up. He says come here, see these door latches, pointing and grabbing the w900 door latch. I says yea, he says I invented these and proceeded to then open up one of his garage doors and he had thousands of them in boxes. He said this is only thing I ever invented or have ever done since I graduated college. So from what it looks like on your new one, it seems to be the same guys door latch. Or not, anyway thanks Mike for the videos.

I know how you feel , I have had a company trucks for 50 years , the last truck I had was new again and had 3 miles on it , I was out of work under comp and no one drove my truck for 3 months, now retired 10 years ! Yes there company trucks but given to us to work and take care of , some guys do some not so great ?

Yes your new truck has the old school West Coast look with the round turn signals on the fenders and old style clearance lights on the cab. The watermelon lights not sure if that’s a common theme all over North America but they are common here in Western Canada with the boys that run Peterbilts. The 589 will grow on the old school guys. I’ve seen what one of the Peterbilt dealers in BC is dolling them up to be honest they look good. You’ll have your new W900 till you retire. You’ll be like Teddy working till you are pooping your pants old and crochetty. The new truck will be on the road just in time. The old ISX in your old W9 is living on borrowed time that smutz that came out of your exhaust onto your tanks is a sign the engine has some weak cylinders passing oil. I bet if you got on the throttle with a heavy load and blew the cobwebs out of her you’d have black gooey soot everywhere. You’ve got a new ride no worries for you it’s up to Anthony if he wants to dump 30 grand into your old truck.

Boston get the new truck coated and front ppf wrap it’s clear and stops rock n bug chips etc will help your paint n chrome stay new some one with detail shop can do that for you we have all our rides done and two dump trucks they are so much easier to clean n feel of n Knowing no chips n etc will be there hot tar don’t stick to the paint or frame now so you’ll love it
