my biggest gripe is that outside of being good for multiplayer, there is no second use for these vault blocks. right now they dont give unique loot, not even any armor trims. it feels more like a bandaid to an existing problem in more normal structures rather than a unique feature that is stuck to the trial chamber. I really hope that they fix all the polishing that is needed on these features for this update, especially the copper bulb

Loot is subject to change also yes this manly for multilayer so yea it is a bandaid to that problem they even say that if this works well in the trail chamber and alot of people love it they may add it in other structures but yes I do agree we need sm kind of new item in the trial chambers

Sadly it looks like the copper bulb is set in stone. I hope I am wrong before 1.21 release though.

There's a lot of items in Minecraft already that only have one use or no use in certain cases. - Respawn Compass is useless in Hardcore. - Goat horns are mostly useless in Singleplayer. - Rotten Potatoes are useless. - Bats are useless, drop wise. - Ocelots are useless. - Curse Enchantments ares Kinda useless in single player. There are a few other things as well, but Minecraft having "useless" items isn't new and people never really complained about it too much. People only complain about the new updates for who knows. Edit: there's also the fletching table and everyone knows that one... but the drama behind it has seem to died down the past few years.

The loot is temporary, and some of the devs on twitter have talked about how they are considering bringing the vault to other structures.

also we can confidently say goodbye to any future uses for copper, i doubt they will give it more after a structure that contains literally hundreds of blocks of it

wdym? we have access to even more of it now so in return we need a feature that requires a lot of copper, other than decorative blocks and a redstone component.

@@sten8912 I don't get your point. If they give us even more access to a resource then we're very likely to receive even more uses for it. We can already control lightning early-game, craft useful tools like spyglasses and brushes, and now we're getting an awesome redstone component to the mix. The future for copper seems real bright.

@@sten8912this guarantees that copper won't end up as a high tier tool at the levels of diamond or above. Basically everything else is still on the table. It was never going to be a high tier tool so nothing has changed other than they have made it more accessible to casual players

I wish that it would have a per player cooldown. That's it. Like the spawners, probably doubled though.

I think that getting to choose one of the items by putting the key in at the right time would be a really entertaining mechanic.

I feel like people are really sleeping on the fact that the chamber footprint prevents all mobs from spawning. It's the perfect location to build an underground base. The poison skeletons are also a great use. Turning them into a farm would be a good source of poison arrows.

Ray if you use chunk data corruption maybe we can make it renewable as the blocks in the chunk is reset

Ok here's a cool unique item that could be in this trial chambers. Like how the deep dark had swift sneak we could have a unique enchant that fits with what's going on here. I suggest a trident enchantment called something like Gust or Torrent or Tornado and when you use the trident, instead of throwing it you blast air in front of you and push mobs away like this new mob

I think there should be another use for the keys, or maybe only give "good" loot the first time and every further use just some cheap building materials or something along those lines. It would be cool if those materials would then stay consistent for the block so you can always get more if you go to the same block again and get more of them for another key

You should be able to reloot it every 30 minutes just like the trial spawner can only be attacked every 30 minutes

I feel like they should have two tiers for these vaults. One for the good loot, and one for some mediocre garbage, the latter of which can accept keys over and over again. That way we can use up the keys we have if we repeat a structure. (Either that or have an alternative use for them, although I can't imagine what.)

I honestly think there should be like a 5% chance of getting like a netherite scrap or something, so there's a way to get the best gear in the overworld!

One issue is, if it has a unique item, like the trim in outposts, it can become extremely frustrating to find the item if it isn't guaranteed or has a decent ratio to drop

I think a cool idea to make the fact you can’t reuse them make sense is too make the loot slowly get better the more you open in a world

a non reusable chest that you can farm keys from? sounds so fun... people are just gonna farm the chambers near spawn run to new ones and immediately use their keys on the new vault.

Well, at least there are ways to trick it into letting you reuse it, but I'm kinda disappointed that they locked mid tier trash behind a single use requirement. Guess they are stressing that the game is supposed to become online only soon. Its already quite difficult for those of us who have no internet. IMHO, either they should make it have a once per day requirement or drop some amazing one time loot.

Wait, you can't use it ever again? It's not a cool down? Why? The spawners are on a timer, but not the vault? What's the point of re-fighting the spawners if you're just going to be stacking up on keys you can't use? I know they give other loot, but it just seems so pointless to lock it off completely.

They basically made chests that give players the same loot. So, as with usual chests, a player can only loot it once. I do agree though that it should have a secondary use, either giving worse loot or giving specific loot after being fed an item.

This update feels half cooked at best so far. The trial chamber could be fun for a bit but none of this is game changing in any way.

Idk if it works, but wurst client, and maybe other stuff, can make cracked accounts (let's you change your name, but mojang authentication servers can stop cracked accounts from joining servers). Would a cracked account let you use the trial spawner again?

The Vaults not being renewable is perfectly okay for me but the loot really needs to be worth the effort, and that can only happen if they have some nice and fun unique item or items

I wonder how the trial spawners will work with cracked servers? Will they have a problem where people will create a million different "accounts" (usernames) just to exploit the spawners?

Can you break that block? Why wouldn't anyone just break it after they have their loot. Still ruining it for others. If it would be renewable that would punish the griefer too making it less likely to happen

ok.. can see that being exploitable. Mainly for lag machines. e.g. overload the stored user interacted with too much data and boom all clients get extra large packets

Mojang needs to stop trying to make people play in a way they don’t want to. I don’t find exploring at all appealing. The fun part of Minecraft is being able to play the way you want. Crap like making villager trades biome specific, and this, are just annoying.

no, the renewable loot comes from the spawners. the vault is for non renewable loot. otherwise the spawner and vault wouldn’t be distinguishable from each other

@@firstnamelastname442 you do realize that not everyone is gonna play multiplayer? Do you really think people are going to travel so far for questionable loot? Biomes, structures and mobs but for the trial chambers they already nerfed? Luckily we have people that could use data packs but we shouldn't rely on that. Yes, there's nitpicking of stuff mojang does but there's a lot of major things that's really wrong.

Mojang goes out of their way tome make someting so outlandish and ugly it feels modded. A new structure with a relatively new block, with new mobs and new mechanics. It feels totaly unfitting to the current game, and the worst is that they do this while they have so much to improve with the old stuff. We dont need new mechanichs, you can just add some new structures around the world, improve the anticuated mineshaft design, maybe something for the end dimension that still feels barren. But no, they decided they want to go forward with a structure that seems like it was designed by a 9 year old. Forcing themselves to use the ugliest block pallette because they created copper and didn't really give it a true purpose in minecraft because everyone treats it as inventory filler when caving. Between this new structure and the "froglights", this update is trully the "random shit" update

I'm tired of your clickbait titles and thumbnails and as a result I am unsubscribing. This video's thumbnail and title combined implied you attempted to trick the vault block, which you did not. I come to this channel for your technical exploration of minecraft, but when you imply that you try to do something technical and then just use the video to show the details of a patch, that's just wasting my time. I would have been interested in a video that said "details on the new patch" instead of the more misleading title and thumbnail combination you used. Yes you tested the block to some extent, but so did other minecrafters who were more straightforward about their intentions with giving details about the patch.
