These are all legit tricks , offsetting the hi hat a couple of nudges is my favorite trick, it’s so simple yet creates a massive change in the feel and takes literally 1 sec to do. The worst part of this video was having to watch you use ultra beat instead of the infinity better drum sequencer that comes stock with logic 😂, completely changed the game for producing beats on logic. #thankyouapple

question.. how do you make Ultrabeat take one sample and pitch it throughout the whole keyboard rather as just taking only one space? my Ultrabeat originally boots up with multiple slots

So you need to go into your ultrabeat, and unload all the samples (slots), so that they're empty, you can then save it as the default, so every time you open a new ultrabeat they come with empty samples, then you need to go to the topmost sample, after selecting that, you look in the ultrabeat for a slider called pitch and then bring it down from 'C3' to 'C2', then in the playlist you need to bring the sample up an octave, and then they can be pitched. Hope this answered your question, if not Oceans got a few videos showing how he does this

That sounds complicated - when there’s one sound per channel, I can mix it properly / add fx and really get the sound I want

I tend to have the problem that my snares, hit hats and claps doesn’t fit. It sound to punchy or to high. I tried to eq but it doesnt sound right

How do you change up the pitches of your hats from the piano roll?? Every time I use ultrabeat for my hats it just has the samples in the piano roll and I can only use the original pitch :/

friend I have a question ... i have a track of a 'boom' effect (logic pro) but at the end of this sound it kind generates a dirty sound that echoes ... this is happening to me in some tracks ... I want to CLEAR IT or REMOVE those dirty echos from my tracks ... . what do you recommmend me to do? wthat could be happening ? Make a new project, record 1 'boom' effect, export it to an audio file, cut out the echo parts in audacity, then sample it in logic.

First of all thank u ! Your videos are great and they help me very much ! But I have a question. When I drag the hi hat pattern from Ultrabeat into the arrange window, the piano roll keys are displaying the Samples 1-25 from Ultrabeat. In this video at 3:09 there's a cut and I wanted to ask how did u change the piano roll, so that you can pitch the hi hats because I'm not able to do that. Every time i drag an hi hat up or down it attempts an other sample from Ultrabeat. I hope u can understand me. Sorry for my bad english. I'm from Germany. Much force and keep going !!

Have you made sure that your ultrabeat is completely empty at first, and then you put the sample on the first sample? Also to pitch, you need to change the pitch (lower it to c2) in ultrabeat for that sample

you need to change the pitch in ultra beat from c3 to c2 and then in piano roll drag the hi hats up one octave then you can pitch them up or down. @@andrewsterklein

Fernando Alfaro I think you just have to create it’s on quick sampler and use the step sequencer I use Ableton more but I do need to keep diving more into this I did it already just forgot but I will open it up again tomorrow and clarify it and let you know 👍🏽🙏🏽
