I just started the video but I'm so glad someone else remebers this show! If you want a similarly insane and obscure show theres Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplance which is also based off Edogawa's work 😭

Ooh I'll check it out! I mainly wanted to cover this one because of my history with it, but I am super interested in Ranpo's stuff so I might see what it's about!

@@CakeoftheMews i rewatched the first episode of it while bored at work and i dont know how to describe it. The energy is like if you mixed Danganronpa and BBC's Sherlock (or maybe psychopass?) and its just as gay.

I'm mainly commenting for the algorithmn, but my immediate thought after hearing 8:38 was "he's supposed to be old???" This is why we need to learn how to draw wrinkles guys!

I say "old" but I think he's like, in his 30's or something? Idk honestly. It's not really stated and I couldn't be bothered enough to care. But also thank you v much ^^

"Oh God! This is a cop show!" ERM FREAKING EPIC SAUCE???? BASED! UP DOOT. But fr despite your criticisms I kinda wanna watch this now, and read some more Edogawa Ranpo, I was only familiar with him from Junji Ito's adaptation of "The Human Chair" and "An Unearthly Love". (Also pardon my foul language, not being facetious, based)

I wanna read his works too! Especially the original Boy Detective's Club, since there were apparently a LOT of changes between them and the show. And yeah it's a fun watch, just be ready to be bored out of your mind for long stretches.
