Tricky Super Mario Bros. U is a mod of New Super Mario Bros. U that aims to twist the familiar into something new for players looking for some extra challenge. This mod will contain a mix of revamped NSMBU levels and original stages for Mario to travel through as he tries to escape the never-ending nightmare that Bowser has trapped him in.
The music in this trailer is an original composition by ‪@brickblock369‬
There is currently no set release date for the mod, but you can find an outdated demo of World 1 here: drive.google.com/file/d/1EF01...

this trailer’s level design reminds me of super mario world with modern mechanics, honestly. which is a high compliment.

This looks really fun and really challenging at the same time. I love to see that in a Mario game. The level design looks great too. And playing levels with BOSHI?!?! That's more nuts than a Waddlewing squirrel!!! Can't wait for the mod!!!

There was a demo released last year that is still available, but there has not been a new one since.

Can multiplayer be played?

Multiplayer is technically playable, but it isn't a priority to design around it. Later on in development I'll likely go back through the levels in multiplayer and try to fix anything that breaks as a result.

Currently it’s only playable on emulator, but if a solution is found for getting the custom code to work on console, I’ll try to support that as well.
