Commercials from Channel Ten Melbourne, recorded on November 20, 1997.
Background: When I asked our aunt if she had any old off-air recordings at her place, she told me she did and let me borrow them. One of them had an old broadcast of "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" and I've found some commercials on them. This also my first reel captured off Channel 10!
Note: I was able to figure the date of the recording thanks to the night's Powerball draw numbers (No. 79) being displayed during the film.

Stay tuned for a special edition of these complications tomorrow! Anyways, here's extra little trivia and tidbits: 0:06 - I used to have a Nintendo 64 when I was younger, but mom sold it when we got a Wii. >:( 1:09 - A pub in my area used to have this game in the playroom, but they got rid of the N64 consoles a few years back. 3:08 - I thought this was gonna be a TAC ad when I first saw it. 4:52 - Jesus, he looks creepy... 5:18 - Why are they promoting a Sydney thing on a Melbourne TV station? 6:00 - That's a little excessive... 6:41 - I don't know why one would have trouble lifting a chocolate biscuit into their mouth. 6:52 - Ten always made good promos for The Simpsons (well, in most cases), it's a shame they lost the rights to air the show. 10:50 - Sounds like a typical day in Daniel Andrews' Victoria. 13:27 - A 3D animated phone in a mostly 2D animated commercial, what were they thinking? 13:50 - But you just said 'Never'! 19:27 - Well, that escalated quickly! 19:39 - Fun fact: I wasn't aware that they didn't display the number of the person calling prior to December 1997 before seeing this ad. 22:49 - ...and enjoy the crappily maintained roads of country Victoria! 22:53 - Not with Daniel Andrews in charge! 26:55 - That is, if it works! 27:16 - I love how they kept the American spelling of 'color'! 29:44 - I believe all McEwans stores were rebranded as Bunnings Warehouse's not long after this commercial was aired. 31:18 - The acting is terrible here, whoever was in charge of making this needs to hang their head in shame. 32:40 - Bit of a tongue twister, ay?
