I had the same problem, it works right from the start, so if you plug it in and its a blue light, press reset button until it goes solid red then press it again and it will start flashing and you will hear a chime now you can scan your code. Enjoy

Quick question guys, if the camera has a solid blue light and a small red dot on top what does it mean? Because no to long ago it was red I think for about a week and I never had time to be home to connect it to the geeni app and now it became a solid blue light with a small red light on top? So now im assuming someone else connected to it but no one in the house ever did.

Same problem i had, reboot your router .. that worked for me.

Right here the first picture you put the password of your wifi in. Or go back on the camera push reset and do it again.

I think it has to flash blue. I am having issues connecting my cameras as well. The QR code will not scan, and I am on 2g.

I have a dead spot in my house where one camera out of 3 aren’t working tried a extender didn’t work. Good luck

I feel you, we just went to the store to exchanged it hoping that I will work well, but it's still the same, after scanning we can't connect it, I reset it many times but nothing happened. It's a waste of money.

On the initial screen, you have to put your wifi name into the first box (All letters correct), then put you wifi password in the second spot! Has to blink red, to scan QR code, if it's blue, reset the camera and try again! Had the same problem until i put in correct WiFi name and password! Has to be the Wi-Fi name that your phone is connected to, while activating camera.

Mine connected fine at first but every since it has been disconnected it has been a great pain to get it reconnected. I see that the cam did actually connect in the top part of the connection screen because I had named the camera earlier but there's no way to bypass the connection screen to go to the cam. So interesting thing is that after I had thought the cam was not added in the background of the connecting screen, I then closed the program and turned off GPS. Reconnected to GPS and wifi, went into settings 'Networking' on device and saw that it was indeed connected to wifi. I opened the program and this time saw that the device/cam was actually added and offline. I suspect if I had not reset the cam, it could have reconnected this way. Because when connecting the cam fails, its not possible to go into the program to check on the added cam, you have to go through the re-connection process or close the program. Watch closely at the top where 'Cancel' is. There will be a drop down to let you know that the cam was added but the connecting process keeps going meanwhile there's a blue solid, steady light on the cam. Close the connection screen after it says that it can't find the device. Close the whole app. Go back into the app and immediately 'Add Device' will suddenly change to seeing the device/cam installed like before but disconnected. It just simply will not remake an encrypted connection at all.

I bought a Turbo Hotspot 2 Wi-Fi on the go to connect, unfortunately I did so because freaking roommate has a 🖥️ , but I stopped using his Wi-Fi, I caught him stealing from me, have 6 months with this jerk off on lease, fixing to take him to court for so much B. S... No Joke🤬, so does ANYONE know if I can connect my Geeni ! Got the sound promo, then it said about router? If I'm correct? I can put the SSID FROM MY TURBO HOTSPOT WIFI??? Still working on it, so even if I don't use connect to no wifi? Will it automatically connect to his? I know I can record, have the Micro SD on my Mercury Cam? It can't & shouldn't be that freaking difficult 🙄✌️

I think you need actual internet service because you are going to have cam at home or office and your phone will be with you. Isn't your hotspot too much g? Just thinking 🤔

Mine won't even read the QR code, also won't connect or even see the camera threw "easy mode" or "manual mode" absolute garbage.
