Earlier on, del boy is talking about a woman he used to date who worked in a betting shop in Lewisham grove. This is one of many hints that he and Marlene used to be an item.

Always thought that John Sullivan was a master of depth & irony, subtle and obvious. The gag about Trig forgetting about things all the time, sometimes important that he had on his mind, then soon counterpointed by his total recall of the trivial - Eastenders and Coronation S - I think is a great example of Sullivan's artistry.

Trig was like Bernard in Yes Minister. He didn't have many lines but they would often be the funniest - and take the audience by surprise

March 12, 2020, is this show "Only Fools and Horses," is it still on Brit Box? If not, when is it coming back? Do the BBC have plans to put on DVD's that work in American DVD players? I'm in the USA and I'd love to own the whole of all series of "Fools and Horses," on DVD!

So the lesson that can be learned from this is that to stop someone spilling the beans, you bellow the spillers name and bluff to them that you had something to tell them.
