I'm a third-year college student taking Calc II. From Trig. in sophomore year of high school until now, I was never taught how to do this without a foreign program. Not all teachers & professors allow you to have a chart in exams. Thank you so much for teaching me this resourceful skill!

Questions written degrees, answer degrees, and questions written in radians mode, you can answer in radians mode. Unless specify in the questions.

@MySecretMathTutor I saw you did a tutorial on how to use the Casio fx-9750GII calculator. I'm wondering if you could tell me how to switch between radian and degrees mode on that calculator?

Sure thing. To switch back and forth you can press [SHIFT] [MENU], this brings up the set up menu. The 6th option down is where you can switch from degrees, radians, or gradians. Use the F keys to select which one you want. :^D

I know this is old but how do I make a radian dec in to a radian pie fraction like pie/6 or 3pie/2

Ah, so you have a decimal for a radian measure and what to turn it into a nice fraction like pi/6. Some calculators will recognize when you are working with radians and do this automatically. With the Ti-83/84 family it doesn't seem to do this but there is a way you can see if its close to a "nice" fractions. Example: 1) Try the inverse cosine of 1/2 arccos(0.5) = 1.047197551 2) Divide this answer by pi Ans / pi = 0.33333333 3) Now convert this to a fraction 0.3333333 = 1/3 4) Interpret the results so 1.047197551 is approximately pi/3

[82.17412768->c c/SIN54 = 36/SINA (36*SIN(54)/c) This gives me the answer of .354425567 Is there something & can add to the equation for the calculator to give the answer in degrees?
