Trillanes wants sanctions vs SAF men who didn't help comrades

MANILA - Senator Antonio Trillanes IV wants sanctions against Special Action Force (SAF) troopers who allegedly refused to help their own comrades during the clash with Muslim rebels and armed groups in Mamasapano, Maguindanao a year ago.

We are aware that the SAF is a special breed of policemen. The SAF men who did not help their fellow SAP brothers diminished the possibility of the SAF earning the legendary status the Scout Rangers and Philippine Special Forces earned in the battlefield.

Nagpupumilit maging warrior ang SAF. Gustong gusto gumaya sa mga sundalo. Hindi nakipag coordinate kaya ayun palpak. Let the soldiers do the soldier's job. It will always comes down to combat leadership, orientation and the discipline which the PNP are lacking.

Kulang sa intelligence yung SAF. InaUnderestimate nila ang possible number of forces ng kalaban knowing na infested yung lugar ng mga terorista. Lack of coordination resulting to the deaths of 44 SAF. Commanders of this operation should be held accountable.

Low na morale ng mga naiwang SAF.. (malamang gutom din) they witnessed na pinabayaan sila.. so they prefer na sumaway kaysa mamatay.. bakit nga naman sila magbubuwis buhay if they felt abandoned.. but yes, they should be charged of cowardice..

Bakit kasi sa PNP pa ang mission dapat binigay nalng yun sa AFP kasi hindi yan sila takot mamatay.
