How do you know you got the flywheel clutch that acts as a nut tight enough, I sorta did it just that way and I think I have a key problem. I'm going to take it all apart and inspect it. And if I replace it with a known good one from a bad rod motor, I kept for parts. I'm going to rap it with a socket to seat it a little on the tapperd shaft, then install the clutch acting as a flywheel nut and this time I'm going to give it more thought, how tight I'm getting it, as it'd hard to tell using a channel lock, or at least different as part of the force is just keeping it from falling off the table.

I fitted a pull cord to my Ryoby hedge trimmers set the piston on down stroke held with cord put it together it won't start can the timing be out

When I got to the part of taking out the woodruff key I realized that it was not sitting correctly in the crank shaft. If I were to reinstall a new flywheel (the one in there cracked) would it crack again since the woodruff key is not sitting well ?

how do ya know if its bad ?I can't get any spark at all.. nothing from the coil at all even tried a different coil nothing, the flywheel magnet is pretty strong to pull a screw driver to it,, how does one test it ? i even unhooked kill switch wires, nothing yet

What size Torx on the clutch drum assembly bolt? : Torx?? I used a T15 and I think it stripped the bolt?? At least it's spinning on the bolt?? Gonna try a long shaft T 20 next....when I buy it.

Hi Rick, to remove the clutch drum, you will need a Torx T-20.

when I prime the carburetor gas is leaking throught the muffler is their any repair for that leak is a ehco weedwacker

Simon flores adjust the screws if it's starts it running wayyyy to lean

Simon flores I'm not too sure there should only be 2 adjust them little by little if it bogs down cause u opened it too much that's a fuel screw and always remember how many turns you turn the screw

Do not try this on troy bilt motors. It destroyed my shaft on 2 motors I was trying to swap parts out on. There is a metal washer holding the flywheel in place and it will not come out this way without pushing the rod back into the engine and deforming the tip of the shaft the flywheel sits on.
