Late night aquarium plant trimming. It's time to follow up on the almost weekly update of trimming the plants in the wee hours of the night. This is what it takes to get the tanks sorted with a new family in the house! Plants need trimming in the aquarium to keep them growing healthy and doing well!

@@CorvusOscen The bots are stupid, the people that program the bots are stupid, the whole screwed up system youtube has created is asinine. They are not rewarding creators, they are rewarding "influencers" and people who pay to play the game. I feel like youtube is becoming one giant infomercial sponsored by who pays the most to have ads placed into videos and who can generate the most views of theses ads. All I want to do is chill out with my favorite peeps, see their fish, shrimp, and plants, and see what creative things they have come up with. I'm tired of hearing how "influencers" are changing the youtube game. Yeah, they are, by playing the corporate game while the quirky, innovative, creative channels that I love are slowly being squashed, hidden, not shown or recommended. I honestly feel youtube is rapidly becoming just another way to play the corporate business game, and the "influencers" are playing it hard and deadly and snuffing out creativity, uniqueness, and individuality one small channel at a time. I could keep on ranting, giving you example after example, but I know you already know. What's the solution? I don't have a clue. I'm frustrated with what I'm seeing happening, I've always believed if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem, so I'll shut up for now.

I got this really pathetic looking Tiger Lotus from aquarium Co-op, thought to myself this is totally not up to their standards, but I stuck it in some good Aqua soil and crossed my fingers. Suddenly it took off, and I couldn't get it out of my little Nano tank fast enough--it was huge! I mean HUGE! Like the size of a normal lotus plant in a pond. Looks great in my bigger, taller tank with lower light. Definitely going to replace it with a SMALLER water lily. They tend to behave better. But once again, The Co-op proves they know their business!

Any chance of trimming vids for us low-tech folks? Surely you keep some low-tech tanks. And could that erectus have any chance in a low-tech but well-cared for planted tank? Good light, good feeding, liquid CO2?

Very curious about the intensity you had your fluval light set up to? I currently have my 125 gallon with CO2 at 75% intensity and it might be time to increase it.

When you trim stems down to the substrate does the bottom part rot? Is it necessary to uproot the bottoms all the time? Thanks!

I am STILL not sure if I’m treating my pogo erectus correctly. It’s growing, and I don’t know how. I took a chance and trimmed some the other day and replanted it like I would basically any stem. *crosses fingers*
