At $800 MSRP for the kit (saw, 12Ah battery, and charger), and $600 MSRP (tool only), ...it better be a legit tool! It seems that Milwaukee has hit the mark with this one. Time to start saving my pennies again.

August, I've been orcharding for 25 years and I have tried many polesaws. All were too much work. Either too much in handsawing or too heavy to make accurate cuts. It looks like Milwaukee have hit the sweet spot, which could be a game-changer. Damn! I need to change my brand!

Been wanting the Makita version myself. Some years ago I bought a Honda pole saw/trimmer but you can't make them so long, and it is heavy. I suppose I should just mount the 2511t to a telescoping pole and rig up a throttle!

Dude! That thing is worth its weight in.... Well, i wont say! Lol Dont want Milwaukee thinking its under priced, because its not. Probably one of the most expensive 'tool only" prices. Aside from their bigger stuff! But just think, u know how when u go to start a climb. And u clear as much of the lower limbs as possible from the ground? Dude, give this to your groundie and have him clear the first 20ft for ya. Which helps a lot for guys who spur up before tying in. But shit, who needs to limb walk when u got this thing in the tree with ya? Obviously depending on if its a trim or removal or if its needing a rope on it. But u get my point. The opportunities are endless with this thing! Definitely on my wish list! Not sure if ill get the petzl zigzag first, or bump it down the list for this bad boy? What would u guys recommend? Which one will be more advantageous? Lol

good firewood saw 😂
@dgoodman14847 ай бұрын
I hope it works better than my buddies little yellow brand electric chainsaw. It has enough power but no chain speed and a lousy chain so it mostly just chews up a limb and doesn’t cut clean at all. Can’t think of anything worse to use for pruning.
@JPaul607 ай бұрын
I have the DeWalt pole saw and I like the Milwaukee design better because the bar goes straight out from the saw whereas the DeWalt bar is angled a bit. After having to cut crossing and sagging branches of my troublesome pine trees from time to time you get a pretty good feel for the pole saws. The DeWalt is OK but I feel the Milwaukee has a better design. One of the things with battery tools is once you start with one brand and their battery fits their other tools it doesn't make economic sense to have a variety of brands of these battery tools.

That poll saw is pretty impresive, but what I really want to see now is you using it IN a tree that you're climbing. Don't worry, I'm not trying to get you dead, I'm thinking more of when you have a tree with a larger crown that's dieing so you can't risk moving to far from the trunk, but you need to get branches that are way outside your normal reach..... cutting from above would probably be preferable as you can't really run away like you were doing with that Madrone (
