Thank god, Joey.. I had been trying to update mine using a different video I found that turned out to not be very helpful... I should have looked for a video from you first, but thanks to you I got it up and running! I did have one issue with my card format; I'm on a Mac and am using a 128g card, which I guess Mac will not allow to format as FAT32? Could not figure it out [newb] and ended up using a smaller card that was formatted appropriately, slapped the incremental update on there, and got it to install. Then just swapped back to my larger card with all my games and everything is as it should be! I might have taken the long way to get to the end goal, but I'm still learning! 😅 Thank you for helping me figure it out, Joey!!!

I was surprised at the quality (physically) of this one. I expected light cheap plastic feeling, but it was sturdy and had a great weight and overall - if this thing had something with better software like Garlic or Onion (or something similar) it would be amazing. You'd think that handheld companies would be paying for great O.S support as it has the potential to be game changing!

Wholeheartedly agree. Stock (and the modified stock called Tomato OS) are good, but nothing comes close to the elegance of an OS running theemulation station frontend.

This is definitely a big help. I just received mine in the mail and it seems to not play PSP and PS1 games so I'm hoping I can fix it since its the whole reason I bought it.

@@dylanhile358 Cloning is exactly that, a one to one copy. Whatever you see right now with whatever SD card you're using, when you clone it, will be the exact same.

Changing the SD card to a premium one will solve the stuttering issues in games like god of war?

I think in that segment he was suggesting that the included ROM was at fault for the stuttering, not the SD card. The SD cards are just prone to failure, but always better to use your own ROMs as well. Although I think that particular game is not going to run full speed on this device regardless.

using the tekken 5 rom included on the stock card made the game freeze at loading times (sometimes) now im using my own rom of the same game and no more freezing

Do you update directly to version 1.4 hotfix? Or did you install 1.4 after the hotfix?

video shaders setting keeps turning back on even if saving core override. onscreen overlay does stays off, but have to disable shaders everytime i start a game

Are all roms bad? One reason I bought it with the SD card was to skip the step of downloading each of the roms. But if they are bad you think I should replace all of them? Or maybe just change the ones that keeps crashing.

Please my trimui pro just starts with one second trimui and then black screen. Tried rescue fix green bar. Put in old stock card still the same. Please send me step by step what to do

Say I got my device without an SD card and installed Knulli right from the get go, but was having trouble with WIFi connections so I tried your gudie to go back to stock However, when I hold down power and volume down the device doesn't boot D: Am I stuck with knulli from now on or did I unkowingly brick it? EDIT: Ok it boots into stock now but only without the SD card? If I try to turn it on with the SD card inside, it just refuses...

You can use it to transfer files, Saves taking the Micro Sd card out to add roms etc.

Unfortunately, there are only a few emulators. pc engine cd or neo geo cd is probably missing or? therefore i would recommend tomato os

Anyone else having problems running PC Engine games from the stock OS? TrimUI Smart Pro on version 1.0.4 and all pce games will run for a minute or two, then randomly start going Up directional. Happening with all .pce roms, can only get a level or so in to each game until it starts happening. And this only happens when running any pc engine game, not any other system, so I don't think it's hardware?

There is no list, they're pretty self explanatory. SNES is SFC.

Thank you for the response! Dang. Well, I'll follow your safety protocols, make a backup of the original and start fresh with a new SD to try out this update. All new to me, but I think I can't really fudge it up too bad, well that's my hope.

Just tried to do the update firmware with a new SD card, and i can't power on the console anymore, everything seems broken, even with the old sd card it doesn't work anymore. Already happened to someone ?

Because it's difficult and too much work. You can use Skraper and put the images in the Imgs folder, then folders for each emulator and images name has to match game name.

Yeah, definitely clone the card. I've literally only just turned mine on for the first time and NDS & PS ROMS are already corrupt. The only saving grace is that the 64GB SD card version was the same cost as no SD card.

Gee,..all I did was click and drag the folders from the generic sd card to a new SanDisk, which I left in exFat as this device does support it, so no need to go to Fat32. I've also left the firmware in 1.0.3 as I have yet to find a reason to update,...and I've learned from my Trimui Smart, that updating firmware can seriously screw up your device, so only do it if you ABSOLUTELY MUST! Its all a crap shoot with this stuff, lol.
