Make no mistake, the TrimUI Smart Pro is Different Than Anything Out There. Honestly, I'm kinda liking it a lot, but I don't want to give you rose-tinted glasses over here. It's really nice but it does have flaws. I'm a bit conflicted on this one actually. Let me know your thoughts below.

ReWASD solves the L3 R3 issue because you can map start and select to be those inputs and just reassign actual start and select to be under a shift layer in the program. You have to pay for it but it makes playing games via moonlight almost seamless :)

Which this has the power of a T618 devices. This device aesthetic would perfect as a PSP replacement if it had the power to run the full library. Also that story time at the beginning was absolute cinema 😂

you can add your own games, ofc (provided that you own them, cough). Just plop them on the sd card and you'd be good to go.

You were absolutely right about how it'd looked like in the 90's in Eastern Europe when we were kids 😂 But, console-wise, this TrimUI Smart Pro looks great but I'll wait for TrimUI Smart Pro 2 with proper L3 and R3 buttons. For me, it is a deal-breaker. Thank you for this wonderful video! ❤

Great video Mr. nerd!. I have the TSP as well and for port master, I had to install the custom update from the port master git hub, which requires a fresh sd card. Also, in case you didn’t know, for N64 forced 16:9 widescreen, instead of the default full screen (stretch) works really well. It’s a widescreen hack and it works pretty great for most games. Many times, you can’t tell that the games are not native 16:9 games. Be You make this change in the retroarch video settings.

Why didn't you install Tomato OS? in essence it is not a custom firmware. Is the modified original firmware. "Same difference" with added feature.

Don't forget to flash the latest update when you get it + tomato OS, these two things really go a long way. Also get the version with the included card, I lost hours reconstructing my library, I wish I never listened to my inner cheapskate (in this particular instance) 😄

I just got mine and I must say - its wonderful. The sticks are great, I didnt find any issue with them. Same for the buttons / shoulders / triggers. So far, awesome device!

No matter how many times i try...i cannot enjoy this handheld. The buttons, sticks and firmware make for a disappointment every time i pick it up

Okay so mine just arrived from Tsjai-na, and right out of the box I must ask...What's with the stupendously small d-pad and buttons? I always press several face buttons simultaneously. Something tells me this will not me my definitive RGH. But hey, it was only 50 € 🤷‍♂️

Nice intro... I used to dream I was naked and everyone was looking at me. It happens a lot when we are kids 😅 As for the device, I love mine. After updating to the latest firmware with the Tomato OS, you have a lot of options to make it better. I can now play almost 40 different emulators. Overall it's a good portable handheld!

I know this video is a month old but I just gonna say this Vlad. Thanks for the review. Now I am not gonna sound like any worshipping peasant or anything but finally someone whose reviewing based on facts. Honestly, I really thought this handheld is a pretty good buy, primarily from where I live, these things used goes under 40$. For what youre getting its insane, but reviewers totally slammed it for all the reasons you mention they were saying. At that price point, its good and I mean really good. Honestly, I'm not too worried if this could not play much of psp games but it does, it plays dreamcast as well and the device while not pocket friendly, I would happily squeeze in my bag for the power and battery youre getting. The buttons are decent, the analogue sticks are manageable and like you said what do you want from a device this cheap. We should be thankful that options like these exist, when Sony itself is not making a attempt up until recently with a streaming device yet people fall for that scam and buy it. Wild world. So guys, Vlad has said it, pick it up if its cheap at the place you reside. I lost the opportunity due to misinformed opinions, don't you dare follow. And Vlad, continue the good work. You deserve subs plenty more.

@@VladNerd Got a private message from member that made me quickly realize why I don't do discord. As far as KZfaq, Vlad lad, I'm going Minimalist. I've been giving it some thought for some time now. Over the course of the last year I've not been happy with any product I purchased because I ALWAYS know that it's not really going to make my life better in any significant way and as I am quite a bit older than you lad, take it from me, every day wasted is a time you just can't get back no matter how hard you try. I need something a little more substantial to fill that void. I was thinking, as was my wife, of working with NGO's to provide special needs children in developing countries a chance, just a chance Vlad at having what every child has elsewhere, an education. That's what I do now daily with autistic children so for me it just seems like a natural fit. I'll miss KZfaq but then not. That's pretty much how it will play out I'm afraid. I'm going to have my oldest son maintain my account as I'll be traveling and often may not be within range of a functional Internet connection.
