Linen is perfect for hot weather, and it softens as you wash it. A linen blend is better as it wrinkles less, the dress is a winner! I love the wide leg pants & jumpsuit, but I think a full a skirt would be flattering & they are airy & flowy! A cute top that ties at the waist would be really with the pants!

Over the last couple of years, I've been slowly changing my summer wardrobe over to linen, cotton, and, to a lesser extent, viscose/rayon/lyocell/modal which are also breathable cellulose fabrics.

Yes linen is perfect for hot/humid weather as it's a natural fabric and very breathable, viscose is also natural as its made of wood pulp so that dress is ideal for your holiday plus it looks lovely on you 😊 Soak it in fabric softener if it feels itchy. Stay away from synthetic materials like polyester as they'll make you feel hot and sweaty not great for a hot climate 😅 Personally I'd take mostly dresses as you just chuck them on and your good to go.

My only thought is if you're going somewhere hot but also humid you'll be cooler in natural fabrics like linen and cotton. Polyester will be hot and make you sweat. Linen is very liable to creasing though but a linen blend will be better for packing❤

Linen is a natural fiber and will be great for travel as it wrinkles very little, I would say wash it a few times before ya’ll’s trip so it softens.

38deg celcius for Singapore predicted for Apr, I highly recommend cotton clothing for Dubai and Singapore. The humidity will depress you and anything polyester will CLING onto your skin as you try to manoveour with the heat and humidity.

Just watching your try on at the first. I like to comment as I go, so I don't loose out. The dress you have on wiht the blue flower print is adorable, and a great color for you, and fits you like it was made for you. For hot humid climates, cotton and linen are fabulous for heat because they are breathable and not clingy, but they do tend to wrinkle which is minimized by the viscose which helps it drape well. If you are wearing it in a cooler climate, like GB, you could pair it with a long sleeve underblouse that is one of the colors in the print. I live in Houston, Texas which is almost always hot and humid, and I find that loose dresses are the most comfortable in the summer, vs. slacks and a top. The body suit will drive you nuts, but the red skirt is nice. I have a similar shape, but way more at the top, and I hate skirts, because they aren't very flattering in the back where my backside is a bit of a shelf. I can't wear anything but elastic waist skirta and they tend to creep up as I wear them. The black and white pants are stunning. The wide legs are better than skinny legs for pants in the heat. The red asymmetrical skirt doesn't fit you that well, but it is cute. Not wild about the way the underskirt shows at the side. The gathering makes it fit a little to tightly. I don't know where you plant to go in Dubai, but do remember that in Islamic countries, a bit of skin isn't something that is welcome in women's clothes. The blue jump suit is adorable, and like the first dress, you could wear it in cooler weather with a warmer under shirt. My only thing about jump suits is that they are a pain when you have to go to the ladies room. Something to keep in mind with all the sleeveless things is that when you go to places that have air conditioning, you may get a little chilly. Very lightweight sweaters are good to have to use in these places and take with you. You seem to be on the right track for hot weather dressing. The black and white trousers are so striking, you could wear a dressy top and wear them for cocktails. You seem to be on the right track for the climate, at least in MHO. When you live in a climate like S. Texas or Florida in the US, that's a hallmark of your wardrobe, but dressing for cooler climates is hard. Sounds like a wonderful trip.

I thought the ruched skirt looked great. Until you mentioned it, I didn't think it accented your tummy, I thought it camouflaged it. However, if you don't feel great wearing it, I agree with you - send it back. I love most of this haul, especially for a hot climate. I think my favourite is the blue jumpsuit and I would wear the white tank top under it. You looked cool and cute, perfect for vacation.

A linen blend is good as it gives you some linen but mixed with others so that it creases less. The dress is perfect. Linen is a good choice for hot humid weather. Shops etc in Singapore have air-conditioning set on ice cold. The weather is hot and sticky outside so go for light natural fibres. I wore mostly cotton loose trousers and a light loose cotton blouse with side splits so I could wear it loose and over the trousers. A sundress and pashmina combination work well for evenings as you can feel chilly with the air-conditioning. You walk into a warm sticky night when you leave anywhere. It is hard to explain the humidity. Dubai can get like that as well, depending on the time of year. If you are there in April it shouldn't be too bad. It was a nice time of the year when I lived in Saudi. I lived in elastic waist trousers and loose cotton blouses to be cool but OK in a muslin country. You will have a wonderful time. Wendy

I have been to where your going and if you want advice , stay away from Anything polyester / nylon like the mesh skirt as its so humid , you need linen and cotton and you definitely sooooo need suitcase as with sweating you change your clothes more often and to wash your clothes takes ages to dry with the humidity , you can cut down with hair stuff as it was pointless with the heat so hair bobbles , have a fantastic time xxx

Linen starts off feeling a bit fuzzy but with wear and washing its gets so soft. Also perfect for the heat.

Also, please don't take this the wrong way because I absolutely love you - but your dressing for every day Trina Louise - not vacation Trina. Get a little crazy (and bring a suitcase with all your pretty clothes). The black & white pants are fab. The asymetrical rouched skirt looked great on you and kind of what I was talking about as far as getting beachy type clothing. Also blue jumpsuit and daisy wide crops are fab.

Hi lovely! I also struggle to get things to fit my waist and lower tummy so a small hack- you can ask your seamstress to lower the crotch seam in trousers/jumpsuits which gives you more torso length and rummy room without compromising a well-fitting waist! Xx

Yours clothing is excellent for flowy cropped wide legged pants in loads of patterns (try searching culottes/Gaucho pants) They also make great tiered midi/maxi length skirts which are flowy & perfect for summer & tend to have a comfy ruched elastic waist. I love the Sunflower cropped trousers - they are absolutely perfect for your holiday 🥰

Those sunflower trousers are lovely. I’m not a skirt person at all but I love baggy trousers and at 5’4 they’d probably be closer to full length on me but they look beautiful on you! I’m so envious of your big holiday but I’ve got 11 year old twins so the furthest we’ll be going on holiday for a while is wales. Their uniforms will cost me an arm and a leg as they start secondary school in September. I like that first jumpsuit on you too. Linen is lovely in hot weather too. Purple dress is a keeper! Wash, use fabric softener and HANG to dry. This helps with static too. If wrinkled when dry that is when I will put it in the dryer for a few mins, take out while still warm and hang it up. Just wondering what you are taking to Dubai to cover the modesty laws. That might be helpful for other people that might want to visit Dubai. For basic tank tops to take, are they available on Amazon UK? Basic pack of cotton to help keep cool. Also what shoes are you taking? That is what takes up the most room in my luggage.

I liked the wrap tie dye skirt on you maybe you would like it better one size up. I didn’t like the black and white baggy trousers I think they make you look bottom heavy. The sunflower trousers looked better. I also preferred the black and white jumpsuit to the blue one. Remember though it’s what you like not us. My style is different to yours you would probably hate what I wear lol xx

I know what you mean about linen. It can indeed feel slightly itchy and warm when you first put it on - however I find when you're actually wearing it, it's very cool. If you use fabric conditioner it can take away the itchiness but may also make the fabric feel a bit limp! Personally I never use fab con on 100% linen or viscose. Lovely dress - a keeper I'd say.

1st dress is gorgeous. I would keep it even if it was for home. The pants were keepers. I don't know about traveling with bibs/jumpsuits. I think it would to hard while in the restrooms. Also do you have a long torso? Everything you tucked that white tee into looked great. I tuck my shirt in and I look like a stump. 😅

Linen is a hot weather material

I have been to thailand for 20years. Don't take itchy dress. You could try fabric softener but it won't be alright in heat if Its itchy. Wear loose skirts loose trousers and don't get involved with any kind of constricted undies cos you'll be too hot. I take vest tops and skirts loose cutoffs and shorts and it's not really a dressy up place. The trousers are the perfect thing and look dead comfy. I'm reading co menus if you're in Bangkok anything goes so you don't need to watch about covering arms etc. They are Buddhist you have to cover shoulders if I a temple. I'm not trying to be a know all but just letting you know. You'll love it ❤😅😘 ps sunflower trousers great as well!!

Packing cubes could be a possibility? Re. the first dress , I really would not be wearing a dress that is feeling itchy now to a very hot country, it will be unbearable. Sorry I’m not particularly a fan of any of the pieces in this haul. They all seemed to have something not working for you with them so don’t buy for the sake of it. I like the black abstract trousers but if they are long on you , they will be too long on me at 5ft 7

Don't get the first dress! The linen will get even itchier in the heat and you will be miserable. I can't wear linen at all for the same reason.
