Great meal once again, i loss my dad going on 6 years now and when i sit and reminisce on my times with him it's heart breaking with joy of the special times we had even if its just talking. Yes i miss him daily but life has to go on, every now and them I'll feel his presence and felt loved. May everyone who lost a loved one be hugged from that special someone as you read this comment.

this one hit home for me . After loosing my Aunt this year close to Diwali and loosing my BIG BROTHER 3 YEARS AGO. I MADE ALL HIS FAVOURITE DISHES BECAUSE IT WAS ALSO MINES. AND FOR MY AUNT THIS YEAR I MADE HER PEPPER SAUCE BECAUSE SHE LOVED PEPPER SAUCE AND FRESH PEPPER. IT REALLY DID NOT FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS SINCE MY BROTHERS PASSING.. I CONTINUED THIS TRADITION EVER SINCE.😪😭💞🙏

When I started watching this video I told my husband that this was the very same Christmas meal that my mom would cook when she was alive and then you came and talked about it being your dad’s favorite dishes on Christmas too. Thanks Dinesh for the encouragement. All I had was my mom and dad we were very close they just had my brother and I but he resides out in the US. Lost my dad first about 3 yrs ago and my mom right after. It was tough so I know how it is. At this time now we would be making pastelle together but I managed to keep up the tradition we have and carry on. All the best for the holiday to you and your entire family. I miss that togetherness but will always treasure those moments we had in my heart. As you spoke my eyes was a bit full but I'm enjoying as always everybit of the video.

She wasn’t sick, her death was a shock to the family that Xmas morning. Yesterday was extremely difficult for me. The grief had me extremely tired. But I had to pull through and cook for my dad and the family and also find the energy to play with my 19 month old niece.. but as you said, we have to find the strength to move forth and enjoy the ones who are still with us…

Dinesh I can relate as to how you're feeling with losing a loved one. My mom passed this May 2023 so this Christmas is very hard for my entire family. Most of my siblings lives in Trinidad and I live in the USA with my family. It's not the same with mom gone--she was our pillar after my dad passing(6) yrs ago.
