Some RCF is made in China. You are incorrect, that the VRX is constant curve JUNK system, the HDL20A is a true scalable line array. It does really not make any difference where the drivers come from, as long as the design and DSP and box is tuned to the speakers and the mfr. warranty stands behind. Does not matter if US , China or Italian made. There are some very good speaker components coming from China. Many of the music store systems by some of these companies come from China and sound fantastic.

power and size and type of drivers. more SPL from HDL20 than HDL10...10's are going to need more in the line to produce what the HDL20's can do. If you can afford the HDL20 and handle the weight they are going to give you more bang for your buck for output and expansion. if you are in the US we can offer pricing packages on either...we like the size of the HF driver and crossover point much better in the HDL20s

+richart lopez I do not think they sell the enclosure separate. you would have to look at pulling apart and fixing with epoxy type joiner or fiber glass. trying to get those types of parts would certainly take a very long time if even possible. usually just buy another and use the broken unit for spare parts is the best recommendation i can make.

William - is it not really a "throw" issue it is an SPL issue, all those boxes are highly directional in the vertical , the SPL and coupling of the boxes is what gives it the ability to push out to longer distances the 20-10-6 are a bit less than ½ max SPL of the preceding larger box. the more 20's you have the higher the SPL but it depends on how you set the angle of the boxes that determines coupling and how the drivers are aligned..flat face will give you the most SPL in a stack or line.

+Jesús Romero The T12 is a much better system, being 3 way than the 2 way RCF box. It is much more musical sounding, but also more $$$$. You can't really compare them as they are not the same configuration or power.

These have a much fuller sound and the drivers are much larger on the HDL20A for the HF. The amp is a true RMS rated amp, but that said, the KLA are a max of 5 boxes, these you can go to 16 per side in a hang and have full array adjustably, which you can't do with KLA or similar VRX, etc. These are more in the ballpark of the Wideline boxes and not KLA

Yes, but you don't have to press any.... the buttons tailer the reponse of the HF and LF drivers to couple better in configurations so you get a better overall sound output without being too harsh or low end loaded. However everyone has their own liking..i would play with the speakers at various settings and see if the recommendations work for you. It may be you like the tuning of a higher box count system for your 3 boxes per side. Work with the settings and see what sounds most natural to you...

It depends. Both are excellent boxes and systems and priced almost the same. Both weigh about the same. Construction on them is quite different, FBT is wood and RCF is composite. Both have similar 10" drivers, but the RCF has a mother of all HF drivers and lower crossover point than the FBT boxes, meaning that more of the high mids, etc. are produced by the FBT boxes vs. the RCF. What are your events like you are needed the line array for? What type of music do you typically do?

These are dual 10" drivers and a very large HF compression driver...the 10" drivers couple very well and produce great low end in this box for transition to subwoofer..HF section is amazing with lower crossover point due to larger HF diaphragm

yes sure will no issues there at all...

yes you can use either speakers with 9006 no issues. you just dont want to use HDL20 below HDL50, use as side fills for HDL20 if using HDL50 as the HDL50 is a 3 way box vs. 2 way from HDL20 and sonically they don't line up the same

JBL limited to array size, sounds thin, overpriced for what you get. Either RCF box is superior, HDL30 blows it away, but is more $$$$ too, RCF has lower crossover point for smoother frequency transition from LF to HF, RCF is true RMS power stated for amps.

The subwoofer does have a cross over on it that you can set to feed to your HDL20's to keep the low end out of them, they do have built in limiting too. So if you are seeing the red lights come on all the time for your events, you don't have enough rig for your event and need to add more tops and subs. You can place a PA2 in-between your mixer and speakers and set a hard limiter so the limit lights don't go on for the HDL speakers but that will give you a maximum volume and that will be it...and will save your system if you are hitting the limit lights all the time.

Well, thousands and thousands of the HDL20A has been sold world wide and a very large user group. They are loved for their size and output and not much out there for the output, features and price point even come close to the performance of these boxes.

They come out of the amp in parallel connections but are "seriesed" together at the speaker with a crimp connector if that makes sense...it is two sets of wires

But these are line arrays, they are not meant to deploy with just one per side like an HD32, or even 2, you need 6-8 per side to start forming a decent line with control

trinityprosound I have 8 cerwin Vegas loaded with 18sound 18lw1400. How many hdl20s would you recommend I should purchase to sound balanced? Or would you recommend something like the tt25? The set up will be ground stack and primarily used outdoors. Thanks
