Opera meets the Blues
In this show the Trio Peter Beets cooperates with two world class classical vocalists. Judith van Wanroij and Hetty Jansen will, both individually and in duet, accept the challenge to sing the most beautiful opera melodies over the exciting and sophisticated accompaniment of the Trio Peter Beets. Famous compositions by Sain-Saëns, Fauré and Poulenc are transformed into vehicles for jazz and blues improvisation and get, with respect to the original, a new appearance. The opera music starts swinging and gets new life in this tastefully arranged show.
