I'm so proud to present this cover to you. Passionate Starmine is one of the more unique songs I've done on my channel. No sweet and innocent idols today. Just three angels and a rocking backtrack.
It was a total pleasure to write the lyrics for this song. As mentioned, it is not like the idol stuff that you're used to on this channel. The imagery was so beautiful and I did my best to capture it in the English lyrics. Of course, things needed to be adjusted here and there in order to get a good rhythm and rhyme scheme, but that's the nature of the biz.
I can't say enough how excited I was to work with Historia, Dev and Joy again. Their voices are each unique but complement each other so well. Rather than trying to imitate the legendary Aina, I wanted to re-imagine how the song would sound if it were scripted for a trio and today's vocalists did not disappoint. Thank you so much!
Overall, I'm really excited to get into more BanG Dream! There is so much variety and sorry I've got mad Roselia bias but I will definitely look at the other bands too! Each one has something really fun and unique to offer.

i stayed up super late for the video and practically drunk walked to bed but man everything was so worth it! im super happy that we all got to work together again on something that wasn't actually idol related as well- we really got to let loose on this song! it was super refreshing and i hope we all get to work on songs like this in the future! Ok the cover is great and the vocals are good but the lyrics are absolutely the best thing about this cover. They're so descriptive and go so fucking HARD. I can't believe it took me five years to comment. I've listened to this since it dropped.

IT IS HERE!!!!!! okay where to start.. ok well uhhh first of all, i love joy, she truly brings out the powerful vocals here, she's so amazing, and historia sounds like a glorious angel descending from the heavens and frightening all of the mere mortals in her path I STAN! i truly do. ik this was a tough mix but mat you did so freakin' well on it, you made everything sound sosososo good!!! and your lyrics make this song feel just as magical as it truly is, i'm so proud of this cover :') thank you so much for letting me be a part of this!! edit: also ty to historia for the nice animation (the font choice was perfect fam) and the clutch render, vivi!!

Idk if these are the REAL English words to Passionate Starmine. I love the vocals very much but I've looked at the English language for this song and this is really different lyrics. I looked at the translation and this is really different. Edit: I'm not trying to be rude or nothing like that but I think that these are the wrong words you guys are singing. Love the vocals, keep up the good work

Your observation is correct: these are, in fact, not the "real" English words to Passionate Starmine. That is because the "real" English words do not exist - there is no official translation nor is there an official English version. I wrote the lyrics to stay as true as possible to the original song but i do take liberties to make it sound good in English. I avoid staying too close to any translation because Japanese is in its nature an ambiguous language. And even then, for any given Japanese song, multiple translators will translate it differently. Each lyricist who does this type of writing has a different approach. some focus on writing a singable translation (i.e. lyrics mean literally or almost literally the exact same thing as the translation they choose) while others take huge creative freedoms in what they change. thank you for listening to our cover!
