TRIP REPORT | Biggest Snow Storm I Ever Seen! | Ryanair BUZZ B737 | Vienna to Warsaw Modlin

Ryanair Trip Report operated by BUZZ from Vienna to Warsaw-Modlin airport onboard one of the Boeing 737 operated by BUZZ for Ryanair on a crazy Snow-Storm day in Vienna.
An amazing trip with Ryanair from Vienna to Warsaw-Modlin. As the title says, I'd never seen such an amount of snow on any flight. It was snowing, non-stop, for more than 24 hours! Every single plane had to de-ice and anti-ice, which caused some delays. The normal thing at this time of the year is when some snowstorm appears.
All the snowed landscapes, the planes covered with snow and ice, the all the deicing and anti-icing process, the full thrust takeoff, and beautiful night landing in Warsaw-Modlin, made this flight one of the best I had in this year 2021, despite that we didn't have any landscape view during the flight.

I've said it before but I honestly think this the best Flight Channel on KZfaq and I watch hours of aviation stuff. Thank you for a great report ! I was pleased to see your full description of the de-icing and anti icing procedures at Schwechat, which are so re-assuring. Good to see Ryanair have re-introduced their full menu. Having just watched your flight by EasyJet from Santiago to Geneva, the contrast between the interiors of EasyJet aircraft and Ryanair's is very clear. I much prefer EasyJet ! A very happy new year to you, and I look forward to many more of your reports.

Just flew RYANAIR today from bari to frankfurt hahn airport i almost lost my flight because I had to wait in line to do the test before boarding thank god they were kind enough to block the plane just for us lol cant wait for the stream and happy new year 🤣🎆🎇🧨✨🎉🎊

Y qué tormenta de nieve se dió ese día sobre Viena, he escuchado y leído reportes que este año ha sido muy frío en el hemisferio norte por lo que se ha visto nevadas bastantes fuertes después de un buen tiempo, no se porque me encanta ver despegues y aterrizajes con clima y lugares más extremos de lo normal, excelente vuelo y saludos desde Venezuela

fELIZ AÑO NUEVO LUCAS¡ Para empezar el año no está mal la tormenta de nieve¡¡ Sinceramente, a mi la nieve me da bastante miedo. He circulado por carretera con fuertes nevadas y lo he pasado fatal. Si puedo evitarlo, ya no viajo con nieve. Si tengo que estar en ese avión, me hubiera tenido que tomar 2 lexatines por lo menos. Valientes los pilotos, valientes los pasajeros y ya no digamos el personal de tierra. Una medalla merecéis todos. Vaya condiciones extremas para volar¡¡¡ Gracias al trabajo del personal del aeropuerto los viajes no se paran¡¡¡ Un aplauso para todos¡¡

Thanks Lucas it's very interesting to see the anti-icing procedures.Do you have any idea of the cost of it for an airliner like a 737-800? And the cost of treating the runway with chemicals to avoid ice?

Thanks alot, Glauber!! To be honest, I don't have any clue about the price, but it's not an option to de-ice or not. When you have to de-ice you de-ice. End of story :)) But no, I don't know the price of it, however, I don't think it will be cheap... Happy 2022! :)

I know they are operating one of those from Orly. I'll try to book a flight on it in February :) TOGA means TakeOff/GoAround. It's a button that starts the takeoff or go-around procedure. In terms of the engines, the autothrottle commands the takeoff/goaround thrust required for it. Cheers :)

hehe They appear because Austrian sells tickets for those trains together with a connecting flight, instead of sending planes for such short routes.

una pregunta, cuando se aplica el deshielo y antihielo, si solo se aplicase el antihielo valdria no?? ya que aparte de prevenir el hielo tambien quitaria la nieve que hay acumulada en el ala ya que es liquido y lo quitaria, que diferencia hay, no la entiendo muy bien, saludos y muy buen video

No, no valdría. La composición de los líquidos no es la misma. El deshielo remueve la nieve y hielo presentes. Como se puede ver en el vídeo, se aplica con más presión que el anti-hielo. El anti-hielo es más un spray con el que empapar las superficies que se quiere proteger. Saludos

I found a small mistake at 3:26. Austrians OE-LZE is an Airbus A320. The A319s flew until the New Years Day of 2022 or actually, the day this video was posted, all 7 A319s with a OE-LD_ Registration. No hate, just wanted to point that out. :)

To know the aircraft is just own knowledge. The destinations is a combination of own knowledge, FR24 and airport info screens.
