A warm welcome to this video, thanks for joining!!
I can’t say I’ve really had a nice start of this journey with Qatar Airways in First Class..
Filming seems to be prohibited wherever you go in Egypt, specially at the airport and the QR First Class check in counter was filthy.
I was then directed to the Economy Class lane as they assumed I was traveling there.
One of the staff was also secretly smoking a vape.. Quite the first impression in the first 5 minutes!
Fast forward to the aircraft this was made up for with the stunning service QR provides on a 2 hour flight.

Wooaaw! I am impressed once again. What a 2h flight! When I compare Qatar to what we get here in Europe for the same amount of time, or even longer flights, I am very jealous I usually fly CDG-ATH, which is about 3h and you do not get any warm food, just a cold plate of fine food, but that's pretty much it. It seems out of this world that kind of service. I will be flying Saudia soon to JED and BKK and I am really looking forward to trying them, my first time with. I'll see what they have to offer. Keep reports coming, always a pleasure to watch your videos.

I know, right? The customer experience just seems the n1 priority while in Europe it’s profits and employees. While I think it should be a combo of all 3 (along with safety, security and the whole show, of course). I’m glad that I still have some memories of what aviation used to be like in Europe, including hot meals in Economy Class with KLM from BCN-AMS.. Please do enjoy your flight on Saudia, I like them a lot! They are a “dry”airline but that shouldn’t really bother much in 15 hours.. Enjoy Thailand, great food!

They brought them back and I had the choice to take the B777-200LR with Qsuites or this A330.. And went for the A330 as the days are counted! They needed the A330 back in the fleet for their growing plans. I enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

Very time consuming Wahid! Sometimes it takes me quite a while to investigate one plane, specially if I can’t see the registration or if I didn’t write it down. In this video it was a B777-300ER parked far away at the terminal while we pushing back, one going to Kuala Lumpur. Luckily Egypt Air only has 5 B777-300ER’s so it was easy to check each one of them to see which one was there at the same time as me. But it’s a challenge for me to find out so I enjoy 😁 Thanks for the comment and for watching, glad you liked it!

WHAT! A! TREAT! To find a new video from my faourite videomaker before going to sleep! I think: your best one ever. As always, full of information, great camera work..but this time funnier than ever! You are the only one who makes me bursting out loudly into laughter! From L2L (I think i patent this for my own videos, hehe )!!! Lounge to Loo to the army of oil..wouldnt it be nice if all armies were like that🤣And your ode to Al Baker. So nice😄 So you flew the (in) famous regional F..in a 2-2-2. Ähem. But wines looked better than in C..and i was surprised to find an italian wine..they should surve them much more often and change their heavy New World bias. I think i would have done the same choices..and the Dino made me burst out into laughters again🤣😂Also love the advertisment for the Jedda flight, 😅🤣😂. Flying and eating..we are brothers in soul somehow..but please add the consumption of liquids🤫One serious question. I loved the BlueDanube..and used it during my active time. Homer! You’re the treat! Thanks again for the words, quite a nice thing when it comes from my favorite video-maker😁. We can just keep throwing flowers one to another! My best video? I actually delayed the release of this one as I did not really enjoy it much myself.. There are some better ones! Like my QR flight on the Qsuites, my EK upper deck to AMS, flight my on the Lufthansa B747-400 video to Dubai.. The wines were nice, but I’m sad they don’t serve it in front of you. It comes from the galley so you’ll have to take their word it’s the one you ordered. We’ll take a nice flight together some day. Regarding the property strikes, I basically use whatever is on KZfaq Studio, they have a section with thousands of songs you’re free to use without any issues, one of them was Blue Danube. Then there are plenty of other websites that offer subscription plans etc, but not worth it unless you really consider it an investment of some kind. I’m so far happy with KZfaq Studio music. I spend a couple of hours listening to music, find something that I like and then try to imagine how I would use it.. I’ve so far never had a strike.. Thanks again for your lovely comment, it made my day. I wish you the best in your daily life and I’ll do my best to make you proud with my flight on Etihad Business Class in their B787-9, it should come out sometime this August.. Great video as always Alex! Gracias. Great service for such a short flight. I flew Qatar a couple of times but their schedules are usually horrible, leaving Doha at 2-3am! I stick to Emirates. Nevertheless a lovely report as always! Goed gedaan m"n vriend!!

Flip! Always a pleasure! Emirates has similar unfriendly departure time banks, I try to avoid it as much as I can.. But departing at 2-3 allows me to reach Europe at 7am.. As a zombie however! There further is a departure bank from 07:00 to 10:30 and then from 13:00 to 15:30, my favorite. Thanks and my best regards from Croatia!

Great video once again my friend, a little bit old Skool on the A333 QR, nice to see the airport operations before the flight as Don’t know that much about Cairo airport but surprisingly very nice. Paul! QR has us so spoiled that we call this product ‘Old School”😂. And one just needs to think that 12 years ago I flew recliner seats in EK Business Class. How Business & First have changed over the years.. But yes, QR keeps the bar very high! And you didn’t miss out anything on CAI airport.. I was scared of filming as every couple of meters someone yelled at me, but it’s probably for the best😄 Thanks for being here yet again!

Great video as always! I hope to get to start flying some longer routes on widebody aircraft again soon (hopefully next year.) The only widebody I’ve flown for the past 2 or so years was a United 767-300 from LAX - EWR (which is also the longest flight I’ve been on in the past 2 years,) but that was overnight and I was sleeping almost the whole time. Anyways, love your videos, and keep up the great work!

The service and seating. No European airline has IFE on short haul routes. All seats are plain and boring. Also no free service on almost any airline. And if there is any service it will just be some biscuits with a drink..

I think I may fly to Greece or London next year, and am very excited (but I’m not 100% sure if I will be going yet.) I also hear that Lufthansa is doing the same on their long haul routes as well. They are doing cost cutting to their service. So meaning you get a meal on a full fare and if you want to get more free snacks, you have to pay extra, which is lame and a stupid ripoff.

What is up with the crew on QR secretly smoking a vape on the plane???? Beforehand, you were to told that you aren't allowed to do so as an agreement, so why did she break the rule??? Shouldn't she get fired on the job???

Thanks Abdur, like always! It’s all ok, it’s can’t all be perfect. I fly a lot and it’s normal to have one nasty experience every 30. And from the moment you walk into Cairo Airport you’ll notice that customer service isn’t their best skill. (Not the only place.. I have one that’s worse, you’ll see soon!) But my bitter experience was improved inflight! The “best friends” together in that shot😂. I’ll try to take Emirates in First Class on the very same flight to compare them. Some airports including in Cairo can be sensitive of videotaping/photography, but I’m glad to hear Qatar Airways was able to up-mood yourself in their luxury First-Class! Hey Tariq, yes it is indeed! The thing is that it gets sold as First Class on some of their flights. That’s why I mentioned Business Class a few times, like pretending to forget I was in First Class. The additional services that sets this “First Class” apart is First Class lounge access in Doha, Arabic date and coffee service, First Class bus, and I can’t really remember what else.. And it’s First Class prices too! Glad you liked it my friend!

I would not know what to say about the turbulence.. I enjoy it actually. Flying is so safe, way more then any other transport method we take daily. Not a single plane has ever had a fatal crash because of turbulence, so you shouldn’t worry… Just focus on your movie and enjoy whatever beverage you like best. It’s fun to fly!

I smiled when I saw that younger passengers should not view a particular movie (around00:28). Maybe we put them out on the wing? it reminded me of a particular comment from the FA on Cebu Pacific which mentioned in the pre-flight safety vid that "passengers should remove sharp objects from their body"....oh, well.....

I know it thanks to Flightradar24 too! And when I can’t see it live then I’ll just look the registration up. And the camera I just hold with my hand. Well, good luck to me, I’m traveling to Egypt again next week. I’ve got plans for a cheeky hidden camera😎 And they even threatened me! Crazy world. I much rather film in Germany but flying from Egypt is so cheap so I kind of have to go there.. A ticket from Dubai to San Francisco costs in Economy what it costs in Business Class from Cairo.. Thank you for your honest comments, especially about the “hygiene conditions“ in the Cairo airport lounge! I too would avoid eating anything in an environment like that! It’s a shame Egypt doesn’t use their major international airports to “showcase“ the country. People will just come away with a negative experience about the country. I wonder if the meal on board was catered in Cairo or perhaps the return flight meals were also catered in Doha to ensure proper cleanliness of the food being served!

It’s such a nice new terminal yet, like you mentioned, people take no real pride in it. It is a shame indeed as they could have done such a good job. Not only will people leave with a negative image, but also arrive with one (that was my case..). The return flight meals were catered in Doha 100% sure. It saves money and time on these short turnaround flights. Many other airlines do this, unless it’s a long trip. And yes, I can see from the meal itself that it was made in Doha. By now I’ve flown pretty much everywhere so I know what to expect and how things look like😂. Thanks for writing Charlie!

thanks! The speed is thanks to the magic of tail wind. 1000km/h is not even the fastest I’ve been! In the winter the wind blows much faster when you’re flying from West to East and I’ve been over 1200km/h!

A330 business class looks real beat up and the plane is really old. Btw, I would have devour EVERYTHING there is on that plate of yours, the lamb shank, cheese plate, everything without waste a drop of food.

Compared to the rest of the fleet it’s a little outdated indeed, however comparing to many other airlines out there it’s still a great seat, specially for just 2 hours! From what I see this plane does not really operate any flights longer then +5 hours so it’s ok, don’t you agree?

Makes sense. Even Emirates has I believe the older and smaller B777-200LR for short range to India to begin, not for long haul flights anymore. The newer B777-300ER is for medium density cities, mainly for airports that can’t handle an A380. Not sure if I am right about all this though because some international airports would have two different planes from the same airline operate together.

The Emirates B777-200LR actually has the newest Business Class model and my personal favorite in the fleet. It flies on lower density routes and others due to certain limitations, such as Dubai-Barcelona-Mexico. A full EK B777-300ER and A380 can not take off from there so it’s the B777-200LR always covering the route! It’s powerful as it has the same engines and thrust as the B777-300ER but a lighter and shorter aircraft. I have a video about it coming soon.. The B777-200LR has the longest range out of any plane in the world, but it isn’t used that much anymore.. I think the longest route it covers in Emirates is to Dallas (15-16 hours or so..)

Hey there! Tough question! So it really depends! For example, I’m currently on holidays and I traveled along with my 2 year old son. We had the choice between multiple airlines but both my wife and I had it clear we wanted Emirates. It’s just perfect for kids and family. Emirates is a young, multicultural and fresh airline while Qatar Airways is more professional and serious. So if it’s perfection I want along with pure luxury it would be them. Emirates is just lots of fun! so to answer, it really depends on the day!

Why does he want to retire those A380 in the first place????? Why all those draconian restrictions on why boys cannot talk to other girls at cabin crew training sessions???? Suppose you can't do those, you are telling them as well that white people cannot talk to Indian people, black people cannot talk to Arabs???? What is this lunacy in lala land world of his???? I know and he still wants to retired them by 2026. Yes it is not environmentally and sustainably friendly, but if more people want more choices to travel, shouldn’t he keep it in the service, otherwise it might hurt his business long term????? They can't fit in all the normal sized wide bodies at the airport terminals due to slot constraints, so they bring the super heavy jumbo A380 jet to fill in the rest of the gates. Look at Emirates, they are doing the same thing and oh, Lufthansa bringing them next year of 2023. I am not sure where this is going with this whack-a-mo CEO they have here, other than that he uses it as an excuse to say I can’t deal with Airbus, so up yours. Well, if he doesn’t like Boeing, is he going to say same thing as well??? No rational sense from his end.

Nice flight! I am jealous. Anyways... I'd vote for Al Baker to become an US airline CEO, but it's not going to happen. He will fire all those grandma and grandpa crew and the union won't let him do that. Plus, us Americans are too low-end with food and it's not even possible to prepare good food, it's not a concept Americans are familiar with...

Hahah you are right in some observations. Yeah, it’s very impossible to happen in the near future. I think in Europe and US we just got used to rubbish and simplicity. People want a lot but are not willing to pay for it, while in Asia and the Middle East it’s all about quality. Hopefully people become more demanding. Thanks for the comment!

But most of the registrations I quickly write down on my phone and I’ll search them later if I don’t have internet or time.. I got so used to it that I’m quite fast😎 If I’m not sure where the plane is going, worst case scenario I might cut the plane out😂
