I share your opinion, I like the airport as well. Maybe not state of the art but working efficiently. I love the Taiwanese food ^^

Thank you for writing your experiences. I never experienced those things you described, like a late terminal change for example, everytime I had a comfortable stay there. Never mind then.

Da steht ja einiges parat am Waschbecken. Sehr schöner Trip Report, für die Flugzeiten bei Nacht kannst du ja nicht was, um auf einen der Kommentare zu reagieren. Der Anflug in San Francisco ist wieder traumhaft.

Ja, und das in der Economy Class... Das ist ein 5 Sterne Service für alle. Eva Air fliegt die Strecke in der Regel dreimal täglich, diesen Flug haben wir jedoch bewusst gewählt und der Anflug auf San Francisco entschädigt dann auch für den nächtlichen Abflug von Taipei Taoyuan. Vielen Dank für's anschauen und kommentieren :-D

I prefer night flights when going to Asia. It is daytime then when I arrive. Much easier then to get on their daytime/nighttime schedule.

I had a nice flight time from Europe to Taiwan, arriving there at 8:30 in the morning, that was nice, so a night flight made sense.

Same, I kind of feel sad I’m going to the Philippines with EVA Air and not Philippine Airlines, but hopefully EVA Air won’t disappoint me. I’m looking forward to the landing and hospitality of the staff.

Thank you. Well, unfortunately it was dark outside during that 20 minutes and my camera was stored because I wanted to sleep during that time. Of course no one was allowed to leave the seat, even the crew was sitting secured in their seats. Sorry for that.

Super Anflug auf San Francisco mit Golden Gate Bridge 08:36. Für Passagiere blöd aber für einen Planespotter sicherlich interessant, 30 Minuten auf die Terminalposition zu warten?!

Ja, endlich hat es mit dem traumhaften Anflug auf San Francisco geklappt, war ja im Prinzip der dritte Anlauf ;-) Die Wartezeit von 30 Minuten ist schon etwas belastend, da fliegst du zwölf Stunden von Kontinent zu Kontinent, bist froh endlich am Ziel zu sein, und dann gibt es nicht genügend Parkpositionen am internationalen Terminal... Vielen Dank für's anschauen.

Hi nice video and nice view. I have a question. When you wanna go to the lavatory, how do you get to the aisle from your window seat? Im going to use EVA's 777-300 this December, and assigned window seat, but a little confused about it.

Took the Eva Air flight from TPE to LAX last week. It was disappointing. Enter main Channels were limited. They served the same awful green chicken and pasta. The desert on that tray was a single slice of an apple wedged in between two slices of lemon. I got one beer(I guess they were rationing beer). Also, TPE airport was not that impressive. They have free showers but no where to buy soap, shampoo or even a towel. I went to the Plaza Premium lounge and paid 500 NTD for a shower. However Eva Air fare was the lowest and I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I will try Cathay Pacific or Singapore(they have gotten really expensive lately)

Yes, all classes on EVA Air long haul flights have a private IFE screen.

What does the AC outlet look in the economy class seat? Where is it located? Also, how good are the USB ports when charging your phone?

I actually only used the USB charging which speed was above average (compared to my Lufthansa experience for example).

Yes, Eva Air's USB port was fast enough to charge my phone.

I'm interested in a review of the Eva Economy section with 10-across 3x4x3 seating. Did this flight have this arrangement? If so, it would be helpful to get some feedback on that point. The feedback can be from anyone by the way. My reading indicates that an increasing proportion of Eva's trans-pacific flights will have 3x4x3 seating in economy, going forward.

Yes, this flight had a 3-4-3 configuration. My flight with EVA Air from SFO to TPE had a 3-3-3 configuration on the same airraft type. I think it is a little tighter, when there are 10 instead of 9 seats in one row, the aisle is definitely not so wide.

Thanks for your reply. You stated that "the aisle is not so wide." How comfortable were the seats with 3x4x3? How was the leg room? Were you able to recline the seat and rest comfortably?

I actually can never sleep in Economy Class I have to say, but yes the seats were possible to recline and I liked their seats in general. Maybe it's only my impression, but I think in 3-3-3 configuration the seats were a little wider.

Danke für's anschauen. Das Essen war nicht schlecht geschmacklich, und eine Seafood Variante in der Economy Class find ich persönlich klasse. Für meine Frau und mich gab es diesmal nur Wein ^^
