Cebu Pacific Trip Report flying from Manila to Singapore in one of the Cebu Pacific Airbus A321Neo on a lovely morning over Asia.
A very nice flight from Manila to Singapore onboard one of the Cebu Pacific A321Neo. The flight was almost fully booked which didn't help in terms of comfort. Cebu Pacific A321Neo has a very dense cabin layout, making the legroom very tight (same as Wizzair, for those familiar with European low-costs).
After a beautiful Sunrise while still at the gate, we taxied all around Manila airport, which allowed us to see some nice airlines that are not common on the channel, and took off from runway 24 from Ninoy Aquino airport. The initial climb was absolutely beautiful, with some really amazing views of the Philippines capital. We then made a left turn over the Bay of Manila and started our route to Singapore.
We overflew the islands of Mindoro and Corón, still in the Philippines, and started to overfly the South China Sea. We left Palawan island on our left and Vietnam on the right and flew on direct course towards the Riau Islands. From there we set direct course to Singapore, where we landed on time after a beautiful and scenic approach. Before landing, we made a Go-Around due to a plane that was landing in front of us blocking the runway for an unknown reason. We made a 360° turn and landed on the parallel runway.
Regarding the onboard service, Cebu Pacific offers a buy-on-board menu. However, they also offer a pre-order service on their website for more elaborate meals. In my case I pre-booked (by mistake) 2 meals: Char Siu Chicken and Beef Adobo. To be honest, both were great. It was great that I had both, as they come without any other thing (just water) so one might not be enough, but both were really tasty!
