TRIP REPORT | KLM Economy | Amsterdam - Mexico City | Boeing 777-200 (4K UHD)

Hi everyone!
Welcome to my newest video!
This video features the start of a fantastic trip to the great country of Mexico. I will post many videos of my trip in the upcoming months!
Part 1 features my flight over to Mexico City on a KLM 777-200, originally scheduled as a 787-9. This was my first International flight in almost 2 years!

Thanks so very much for this outstanding video. Great quality. The food looked very good and I'm not surprised they cut back to one selection for cost saving. I love KLM, it was my first flight overseas on 747 from IAH many years ago.

Great and very detailed video. I have one complaint tough. Could you make the commentary more readable in future vids by using a larger type and also the white falls away at light backgrounds. I struggled a bit trying to read.

KLM's service has enjoyed a sterling reputation throughout its long history. I was therefore a little surprised by the rather "stingy" meal service for such a long trip. Even if it was economy, I expected a bit more from KLM. Otherwise it seemed like a nice flight.

I've always been puzzled by the amount of traffic between Amsterdam and Mexico City, that used to warrant a 747, before they were retired.

Yes, it puzzled me a bit as well. No wonder Aeromexico also started to fly to AMS 3/4x weekly as well!

With cafes and pubs closed, there is not much to do for Mexicans in Amsterdam right now. Maybe in a couple of months but at the moment everything is closed in the evenings (another lockdown 😕).Does Mexico have extra rules because if the new Corona mutation?

I am planning to take the same trip come summer. I just don’t know how the regulations will change by summer and if negative rapid test is required before boarding back to Netherlands. Did you have to do that? I will only transfer in Netherlands but i’m so confused 😅

I just flew regular economy on a similar route with KLM and the flight was fine. Lots of leg room and a decent amount of good food. Only the A/V was a bit lame.

KLM always remain a solid airline IMHO, not the best but definitely not the worst either!

We are in a national lockdown. Respect this, and consider visiting Amsterdam in a safer season in the summer. Amsterdam economy is bleeding, stay safe and stay home ❤️

Ik ga in december naar Mexico, moet dan 6 en half uur nachts wachten op vlucht naar puerto escondido. Wat kost hotel per nacht? Het ligt dus vlakbij AirPort begrijp ik.

I absolutely loved Mexico and can’t wait to get back again. We flew to Cancun and rented a car for two weeks as we drove al over the Yucatán Peninsula. After that we spent the last days in Mexico City, such an awesome city. I will post many videos about these travels in the coming months :)

I am witness of two wonders of this world. One is the plane by itself. the Boeing-777-200 and the other, the airliner KLM, that is good enough. So the flight must be good. No matter the atmosphere, turbulence, etc, it happens all the time. By the way the 777 is my favorite plane.
