Thanks a lot, Pete! As for the old train that you made us have some time ago, I really like this recent and modernized train. For me, I like both: the old version and the modern one. Very friendly and it is very pleasant to travel like this. You travel well in Prague and its surroundings, you. In fact, you have all kinds of trains and it's surprising well then. Thank you !

Bohužel jezdí jen v tomto ojedinělém případů. Jasná ukázka, jak lze levněji a účelnější rekonstruovat starý nepohodlný zmetek na moderní, oblíbený a zadaný vůz! Kdyby se tak ČD z toho poučilo a nevnucovali nám ty hnusné pidisedadla a Interpanter ve chcipakach 810 !!!

Thanks so much! It's a new train, but it's built on the basis of older railcars, which had an even noisier engine.

It looks like bus, except it's much much wider and it has toilet. :-D BTW I hate modern buses for longer routes, I always prefer buses like for city public transportation with smaller seats and more space around you, I hate when I see only seat in front of me when I am in modern bus.

Have you ever considered making a video about some of Prague’s trams? I haven’t visited in many years but I recall the city had some very interesting vintage trams. 🚋😁

There is currently no historic tram line in operation. Many historic trams are now being relocated to another depot due to renovations of their home depot. They will probably go on their lines in the summer.

The question is what exactly does the vintage tram mean. Here in Bratislava (Slovakia) we have Tatra T3, T5 and K2, they are considered as vintage, because the youngest type since 1973, but they are still running their lines and personally I like them so much, because lack A/C... And also the T5's sound of the PWM regulation (similar low frequency oscillator module as Škoda made locos of classes 163 a 363, of course, the high end thyristors are much powerful in the locos) is a railfan org*sm.

@@janpf0624 Here in Prague, all T3 Trams are already modernized. But during the main season there is a Nostalgic line No. 23, operated by T3 cars in the original design. We also have a couple of T2 trams here.

Thanks for another train video. So there is a planned train route from the Prague airport to the city instead of the Metro subway plan I once heard about.

Thanks so much for watching! The metro subway line was finally extended to the Motol Hospital, instead of the airport. Now, it's planned to build a railway line to the airport, which will be part of the reconstruction of the existing Prague - Kladno line.

If my memory serves me well, back in October 2017, Praha Masarykovo nádraží was closed due to viaduct reconstruction work. I will travel back up to Praha from Brno and take a tour on this route, plus the other routes that serve this station on the city elefant services. The airport extention will be a great addition to the city's great transport system, even though I don't fly into Europe. For me, the railway is my first choice.

Yes, Negrelli's viaduct was under reconstruction for several years, exactly a year ago it was reopened for operation .. so now you can cross this bridge by diesel train to Kladno or CityElefant to Kralupy n.Vlt.

@@PeteBrandy It is much shorter, but not only way. Alternative one leads through very large intersection nearby Balabenka (together with tunnels through Vítkov it is called "Nové spojení"). This intersection allows trains to go almost freely between important Prague railway stations. You cannot go by train (directly) only between main station and Masarykovo. I like chaos of that intersection.

Díky moc! Mravenec je podle mého lepší, u Regionovy dost záleží kus od kusu, jel jsem totálně vyskákanou a hlučnou, ale i celkem (na poměry Regionovy) tichou a klidnou.. většichou všechny na trati Praha Masarykovo n. - Kladno

@@PeteBrandy Já si myslel že Mravenec je lepší. Mám vzpomínku, že u nás na tratích ve Frýdlantském výběžku jezdily kvůli nedostatku Stadlerů Regionovy. Ty měly během zaskakování zpoždění až 50 minut. My jsme se školou jeli na výlet do Bakova nad Jizerou, ty Regionovy byly tak hlučné, že jsme na sebe museli v tom vlaku řvát. :D

@@janspacek2006 Já si v Regionově většinou sedám do toho prostředního oddílu, pokud je prázný, tam je větší klid, ale více to tam skáče..

@@PeteBrandy Přesně tak... u Regionov hodně záleží na sérii a stavu původního motoráku. Obecně v Mravencích se mi jezdí příjemněji kvůli klimatizaci a tím pádem i obvykle zavřeným oknům v létě. Jsou také pocitově výkonnější oproti klasickým Regionovám. Ještě výkonnější jsou samozřejmě Regionovy Tria (kde je 2x motorový vůz). Ideální by byly trojčlánkové motoráky (Tria) se střídmým vzhledem modrých Regionov a interiérem z Mravenců...

Hezké! Taková větší Regína. Regíny mají nedostatky, ale i tak je mám rád. 854 je sice lepší. Ale railjet je railjet a dálkové jsou dálkové o tom žádná

Nice trip and video. I don't know why, but those "poor" units here in Slovakia have given names, are unpopular. I see a trip report from aboard this class of DMU first time. So, only the missing power outlets. Unfortunately, the single axle bogies (trucks) are louder, but perfectly fit into the sharp track curves. As a railway fan, physicist (partially LoL) and maintainer, I have an opinion about the transmission and the wheelset arrangement - too weak. The Slovakian class 811, also derived from the 810, has Ao'Ao' arrangement, that means has doubled adhesive/traction forces and electric pwr transmission, better fits into the mountainous shape of our countries. Maybe the reason of the unpopularity among the Slovaks for Baguettes and Ants, if there is raining, autumn fall, icy layer - the trains are delayed as hell. Greetings from Slovakia. /máš hezké videa, docela se mi líbi fakt, že i když ta informace tady byla několikrát, vždy je uvedena (o nádražích, lokomotivach, vozů). Už jenom já bych potřeboval něco udělat, ještě stále mám videa z lonského roku ve smartě o EC vlacích v době mezinárodního uzávěru/

Thanks so much for watching and your comment! I can imagine traction of these units, when the weather is worse, it's a similar concept as our Regionova units. Baguettes certainly have better traction properties. Here only 3-car long Regionova units are better, two powered motor cars and one non-motorized in the middle. Greetings from Prague! @@PeteBrandy Těch kratoučkých šotů mám 19 po 10-15 vteřin, dle data a času bych věděl, který vlak to je. Když jsem se ptal kolegů, jeden měl přítelkyni doma na home office a ona dělá nějaky ty videa, tak řekl, že prý se její nechce, a neni profíčka. V ponděli máme nočnou směnu, se je znovu zeptám, že jaký SW ona používá. Nej šot je EC Báthory v čele s Laminátkou se 4 vozy řady Bdteer 20-00, vesměs z novozámockého depa. Všechny EC jezdiliy mezi Kůty a N.Zámkami, pozdějí mezi Prahou a N.Zámkami náležitostmi ČD, s ostrým obratem v Zámcích. Řada 380 byla dočasně i tam deponována mezi přestoji, jenomže fotky nemám, ani videa. (byl jsem líný... )

No s tou leností to znám, kdybych nebyl lazy, tak mám natočený Narita express, ICE3, Amtrak, AREX z Incheon do Seoul station, Hong Kong airport express a spoustu dalších.. jenže ne, já v té době točil jen letadla, dobře mi tak :-D

To by mělo jezdit na všech neElefantovych OS z Prahy do střed. Čech a po Praze😀. Jenže všude jsou ty Regionovy, co pořád skřípou a je slyšet ten motor z nákladních vagónů😡 This should run on all non-Elefant OSs from Prague to the center. Bohemia and Prague. But everywhere there are the Regions who are still squeaking and the engine of freight cars can be heard.

Já doufám, že místo Regionov půjde něco s více nápravami, jako je RegioSpider nebo ty nově objednané od Pesa :-)
