I flew Qatar Airways about 4-5 round trips ( always few in economy class) and my sentiments are similar to yours... In my view, a good airline but nothing out of this world, never understood what people rave so much about. I can't say I ever encountered rude flight attendants, but have experienced a few who were not exactly warm or friendly!

Its called ambient light it was designed by philips for their widscreen tv,s many years ago and now its used on long haul flights for when yoyr traveling onwards on night flights

Yes, Qatar Airways is very good. Food is not as good as Emirates.
