Inaugural Wizzair flight from Vienna to Madrid on board the Airbus A321 painted with the "100 Airbus for Wizzair" special livery.
This was the first time that I was flying on an inaugural route flight. I was expecting something special, some words at least, but it was just like any other flight. Maybe because it was departing at 6am.

Both my big Thumbs UP for this indeed very nice trip-report. The Alps-Scenery were soo very beautiful and stunning. Like you allready described it: AMAZING!! Never ago I was flown with WIZZ-Air But this brandnew bird is looking soo very nice too. Even the leather seats. Very simple designed but netherelses beautiful.

I really enjoy flying with them too. They usually have very good prices and the prices on board are really good. One of the best in Europe, to be honest. I have another Wizzair video waiting for uploading. It will come in a couple of weeks :)

Another great video, and yes, those views are amazing. I love early morning flights too, but am always slightly irritated to find the terminals half closed at that time of day. I know retailers need their beauty sleep too, but being able to have a look around duty free and other shops and restaurants is all part of the airport experience - even for us early fliers!!!

Thanks so much!! Yes, at those hours many shops are still closed. Just the bars are opened. But that makes sense, almost nobody wants to go shopping at 3-4 am haha. In Vienna airport, the dutyfree shop opens at around 4:45am, so usually you can buy also if you are booked on early flights :)

The Alps are always incredible to fly. Last week I flew in the night over them but with the full moonlight, so with the snow over them, they were visible. Soon I will upload that video too :))

Bonito vídeo y menudo madrugón que te has pegado a las 4 de la mañana yo a esa hora no estoy para nadie, el avión me gustan los de wizzair por sus colores y el interior también es bastante bonito pero sin duda lo que no tiene comparación son las vistas de los Alpes nevados eso es un privilegio verlo desde el aire.Y como tu dices al ser un vuelo inaugural podían haber tenido un detalle que no cuesta nada aunque sean unas palabras del comandante pero a esas horas me imagino que no estaban para muchas cosas. Un cordial saludo

Muchísimas gracias!! Habitualmente para un vuelo que sale a las 6am suelo llegar al aeropuerto alrededor de las 4:45. En este caso decidí llegar antes porque era posible que hubiese algún tipo de evento antes de la salida por ser el vuelo inaugural, pero finalmente no hubo absolutmente nada. La clave está en irse a cama antes jaja Con dormir 5 o 6 horas tienes combustible de sobra hasta echar una siestita a la tarde :) Saludos y feliz Domingo! :)

I fly this route last sunday, but the plane we use jetbridge in vienna as well. The taxi time in madrid airport was wery long, it take 30 minute from landing to the gate.

They use jetbridge for some flights . I dont know the criteria for the decision.

That's absolutely correct. 😊👍 I could not take a nice picture during the flight so I had to use this one taken at Luton airport. As long as it's the same... it's valid, I guess. 😅

Nice views and this a321 mmmm i saw him at Budapest airport month ago. Are you planning to fly LOT or wow air soon? Only LOT offers premium economy in flight over the Europe in their 737's. They are flying with their 737's 400,800 and max 8 to madrit too

That’s a shame that there was no party or at least an announcement about this inaugural flight... 😓 at least you got the 100th A321 with special livery! But... you were already in the airport at 4am even though the flight was leaving at 6am? 🤣

Completely agree... As it was at 6am I wasn't expecting anything big, but at least some message on board... but nope. Just another day in the office... =/ I was there at that time because I was coming from Bratislava and the other buses were arriving just 45 minutes before the flight. So with any delay during the trip, I would have problems to take the flight =/

No hubo nada conmemorativo, ni siquiera un mensaje por el comandante o algo así 😅 10 €uro por una maqueta de este tamaño es buen precio. El habitual a bordo de un avión. 👍

Hahaha Usually I record several flights in a row, so even that I'm uploading 2 flights per week, I just fly once or twice per month. January-February were little crazy because I was doing some interviews in different countries, so I had to fly a lot (around 30 flights already in 2019) but usually is something around 8 flights per month max. During summer, as the light time increases I can do more flights, so I will have videos for winter time :)

Absolutely, it was. I wasn't able to take any decent picture for the thumbnail on the flight, so as I had a picture of a Wizzair A321 I decided to use it. I'm sorry if it mislead you... =/

Boa Vista is also in Cap Verde, but this one was going to Brazil, with technical stop in Cap Verde, as far as I know.

I've made a mistake, yep. It's an A321-231:) The engines are IAE.
