That ride in the Wayne bus was great!! Nice trip down memory lane. I rode Wayne Internationals as a kid and actually rode an 88 Ford Wayne on several occasions (in high school, 20 years ago) as a spare.

I remember the bus that took me to grade school every day: 1972 Bluebird with a Dodge chassis and Dayton axles with a 5 speed. Our district converted them to LP at some point...I remember the standpipe for the propane tank being added to the side of the bus!

I will always loved school buses as a kid and now the Ford d700 is my most favorite of all time I am a fan just love the face on the ford 700 I love the turn signals underneath the headlights rather than the ones above they just look much more meaner and aggressive looking the engine sounds pretty wicked cool as well nice video

Growing up we had a 1959 Ford D bus with a 292 in it. We converted it into a camper and used to take it on trips every year. I think the last year it was on the road though was in 1989. When my Pappy passed on my Sister gave it to a guy whose house had burned down as a place to stay while he built a new house. Those Wisconsin hills look just like Southern Indiana hills, lol. Lots of Amish around here too, but most of the ones around here have the open buggies.

My senior year 1999, we finally got a new bus on my route a '99 blue bird tc2000, had the white roof and tinted windows. It was a really nice bus. Then a couple years later it was lost to fire, while it was parked for the day.

Cool channel Tom, watched a few of your videos with my kids and they are wondering how these buses were ever legal. Hahahah 😂 their new ones today have everything including a hotspot. You believe that. We got in trouble for using headphones and walk-mans on the bus. Hahah

Back in school, every 2 days or so,a different bus pulled up to pick us up,so i saw pretty much all of them and they were all very cool to see and ride! Even as a kid,i loved the look, the sound and smoke of each models! Now they’re all generic, automatic, economic buses (and ugly!) I understand the safety part but still...Very nice video btw! Thank you sir!

Hey Tommy my name is David I love your videos. Remembers me my childhood and when I was teenager. I am from Guatemala and I am familiarize with it. I live in California and I only saw 5 buses stick shift I wish find something like these in California but unfortunately is very hard to see something almost Immaculate cause almost all buses went to Guatemala in 80s and 90s

Awesome group of vehicles at the show grounds at the beginning of the video. How about that short bus at 7:11 ? In the 70s my church (in northern NJ) had a `65 Superior International Loadstar with a V8 and 5 speed. No Diesels, automatics or air brakes in those days. When I first got my license I remember going up to the church with my dad's key and driving the bus around in the parking lots, practicing using a clutch.

the Gm busses and Fishbowl busses Bus Grease Monkey works on some of them as he specializes in the old two stroke Detroit diesels they have. too bad the fishbowl used in school service don't have a modern crossing control arm in addition to the 8 way and stop arm. as modern school busses are built in a way to protect school kids a sturdy safety cage as the roof should support the weight of the bus. as busses by Carpenter made from the 80s-1995 were plauged by this problem with defective roof bows. Had you tried to find an old Superior bus they were made to the mid 1980s in Lima Ohio. as then superior was part of the Sheller Globe corporation. as SG also owned The Leece-Neville Co that made the small 3 inch heater and electric motors as well as starters and alternators. as SG went till 1989 till sold to United Technologies formally United Aircraft corporation in its days.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching your school bus videos. I was wondering if you could possibly help me out. I would be very interested in purchasing a specific school bus of which I have extremely fond memories from my childhood. I can't seem to find where to purchase a 1964, '65, or '66 GMC Superior Coach school bus. Any information which you could give me to point me in the right direction would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you so much -- Joe.

Monday, I purchased the 1985 Chevy Ward bus I rode in high school in 1991/1992. It was transferred by the state to the local prison farm until 2018 and driven 8000 miles from 1997 to 2018. I’m having a terrible time getting insurance on it as it’s a commercial vehicle. Anyone who has suggestions on this, I’d greatly appreciate advice.

I'm an insurance agent in Kansas. My advice would be to talk to a commercial insurance carrier. Some personal lines carriers can even classify it as a RV if you got paperwork
