@@linedancer09Didn’t you hear the video?? The mother was deaf. They convinced her that she wasn’t equipped to have 3 babies. They didn’t say how the sperm donation came about but sometimes in vitro ends up in multiple eggs or births. They didn’t terminate they gave up for adoption! That isn’t shameful. It’s responsible. And responsibility doesn’t have to be pleasant or right vs wrong. It’s carrying out a duty. She was able to provide her other babies a good home!

I have 5 siblings and my twin and i were adopted and the other 3 were in foster care. When we were 7 and 8 we went from Florida to south Carolina a very small town in sc. We went to church and there was the kids from the childrens home there... to our astonishment our little sister was in the crowd of kids. We had never met. But we looked at her and knew she was our sister. After the service we ran up to her and told her "YOUR OUR SISTER!" and she knew right away too. The director from the group home let us take her home with us and we had her the whole day until night. We tried to adopt her to no avail. But we stayed close and im happy to say im going to be living within minutes of her in just a few months.

I thought this would be one of those stories where siblings don’t know about each other until they’re adults who took a 23 and me or ancestry test. But I must give credit to both parents for letting them know, and letting them meet. Though it still has a bit of bittersweetness attached to it, it’s nice that they got to spend some of their childhood together.

I am a triplet (76 years ago). We were the youngest of eight and lived in extreme poverty in the UK. I had to two brothers (I did not remember that we had been born on one brothers tenth birthday until I was reunited 25 years later). My biological dad could have allowed us to grow up with sponsors and advertising but he was too stubborn and proud. All of us literally almost starved. My dad left us as he could not cope and I was separated from my triplets at almost seven. Once we were reunited, it was like we had never been a part (that hole in your heart and soul was filled). They still live in the UK. I live in Canada but go there as often as I am able to. Some of my bio siblings have passed away and both parents did many years ago. I consider myself blessed that we were able to reconnect (because we knew each other so well before separation). We slept in the same bed and did absolutely everything together, which makes it natural that you would feel that loss over the years. I am really happy you were able to be reunited and get to live your best lives together :) 😊

Having babies using sperm donors is IVF. They typically implant three or four embryos into the uterus and usually only one or two survive. Here two survived and one of those split and turned into identical twins. They were likely hoping for one knowing they could raise that child and upon learning they were having three raised them to a certain point (they are all sitting independent in the photo so she kept them for a while) and upon realising they were struggling financially made the decision.

What's better is my mom thought the world of my sister and nephews and I feel adopted by sister's maternal family, especially after my mom's passing. The most unselfish and brave decision would have been to never breed at all especially when you know that you couldn't afford it. @@Sssssssslf I’m going to assume you’ve never had to do IVF. You aim for one embryo taking, but often place 2-3 since most don’t take & due to the high costs, multiple embryos are placed. However, over the decades, the number placed has greatly decreased (thankfully). So two embryos took- and one naturally divided, giving them 3 babies. I was robbed of having a sister by my lying mother. I found out at age 32 and it’s not the same. She’s not my sister, just a person I know. It’s an awful feeling.

@@brookeroyster9585 I’m sorry that happened to you too. I hope you get to meet her someday. If you do, try to enjoy it but not get your hopes up too high. We would use the word sister to each other but honestly it has no meaning behind it for us and just feels strange and sad.

I agree! Others are praising the bio parents…NOT ME. I’m sure there is much more to this story than is being told. I also don’t think the”2 twin sisters” look identical at all. I’m sure the adopting parents were great parents to the other 2 girls. Poor Kendall seemed left out in the conversation.

She stated that the birth mother is 100% deaf and that they weren’t able to financially provide for all three. It makes sense to be able to give one the same amount and find parents who can give the other two the exact same rather than raising all three in poverty without many resources for their future/ putting them in danger by raising the three alone while deaf with no one to help her if one of the kids is calling for her help that she cannot hear.

Beautiful that the birth parents would rather give another family the gift of twins then to abort them. And now they still have each other as a gift to one another

Hey Savannah, they’re not the adoptive parents, they are the parents. When speaking about adopted kids, you qualify the relationship with the birth parents not the adoptive parents.

All the comments saying this is a beautiful story 😳 It's a beautiful ending to a horrific story 😨 How in the world do you as a parent even begin to decide what baby to keep and which to give up?! Not blaming the parents in any way just to be clear. They did what they had to do for the babies. But how do we justify the need to give up 2 out of 3 babies like this as a society?! It's a disgrace that as a civilization we can't find enough empathy to support struggling parents like this..

How unfair for the one who stayed with the mother to have missed out on years with her sisters. Multiples aren’t supposed to be separated. It’s not good for them. If the mom wasn’t going to be financially able to care for all three then why allow for a pregnancy like that to happen? How do you raise a baby knowing the others are with another family? I would do whatever it takes to keep my babies together. I think what happened to the girls is so unfair. I’m just glad they got to know each other at a young age and have a great relationship now.

"If the mom wasn’t going to be financially able to care for all three then why allow for a pregnancy like that to happen?" You do know that identical multiples are spontaneous and the parents have no control over it, right? It's not something they can or can't "allow" to happen, good lord. The parents did whatever it took to keep all three girls happy and healthy when they unexpectedly had more children than they were planning on having.
