My all-time favourite airline. Their cabin crew always work their best to make the trip better than expected.

8:00 i honestly surprised with the IFE system. That IFE UI usually runs on planes with modern cabins like the 77W and A359 that has larger screens, but i didn't expect it to work on planes with older cabins with smaller screens like the A330. Overall it's a nice tripreport 👍🏾

I've flown from Taipei to Tokyo countless times, but always on JAL because Haneda was more practical for me. But I used China Airlines a lot between AMS and TPE. Actually I was on one of the last CI flight to FRA end of march 2020 and I'm desperately waiting for Taiwan to open again.

The seats remind me of old SQ economy seats on the 747-400

For taking economy seats, I would rather take small plane with 2-4-2 configuration, rather than big plane 3-4-3 configuration. As I always walk around, I like to take an aisle seat, if 3-4-3 configuration, I have to make way for 2 passengers beside, not convenient at all.

Took the same A330 aircraft (B-18315) from Honolulu to Narita to Taipei back in 2009. Was seated in 8K

3:22 the old Panasonic inflight entertainment system reminds me of Asiana's A330 which is in use until now in HL7736, HL7740, HL7741, HL7746, HL7747 (I came back to Jakarta using this one), and HL7754.

Absolutely fantastic trip report David! For a short haul flight, this looked amazing, but I wouldn’t be particularly impressed if I ended up in one of these seats to Europe or the States or even long haul IntraAsian flights!😸

Not really fond of old craft , i took A333 to Singapore by CI , the flight was fine. However the water was really dirty , still can see can feel dirts in water besides color and design of lavatory is too old fashion I tried Hinduism diet and pretty taste
