Nite are a British brand specialising in watches that utilise Tritium tubes for luminosity. These bad boys are very cool, as they’re mini radioactive gas chambers on your wrist that glow constantly without the need to charge them.
At a glance I really like the look of the Alpha - visually it’s striking, and even though it’s a quartz all the specs are impressive. Let’s check it out to see how it stacks up.

Excellent review. 1) You covered info NOT on their website. 2) You provided close-up views I would never get anywhere else. 3) Your use of language, especially the superlatives, are common enough that any English-speaker will be informed well. and 4) You didn't have to trash any other product or stoop to over-emphasizing either strengths or weaknesses. After three weeks of learning everything I can about watches that MEET MY SPECIFIC CHECKLIST, I purchased based solely on your objective, professional and well delivered review. Plus it was free! Designed as a hardened military watch and they do deliver. Consider this series better than the MX10 as the case would suffer from moisture issues on the lense after being at high altitude (they may have solved this with the MX10 series now) but I never had any issues with the Chrono which was the model (with the same case) prior to the Alpha. I'd definitely have another Nite if I ever parted with the Chrono. Nice review 👌

Great review, thanks a lot, very detailed, I’ve just bought myself one in black on a black polymer strap, your video give some great info and all kinds of angles and perspective, much better than just photos, the only thing that would have been good was a section with the lights off where we can see the Tritium in full effect, anyway, thanks very much, cheers.

If only it had the DAY complication, it would go into the basket! I´d love a video on the topic of why don´t they add the DAY OF THE WEEK more often. That´s a must for me. I tend to forget what day of the week it is even more than the date itself... And in my line of work I need to keep that in mind. Excellent video reviews!

Seiko skx or Monster? I used to work nights and would frequently forget the day of the week 😂 even has a blue Saturday and a red Sunday- which is a nice touch.

Dude, no lume shot? For a watch that's selling itself on using Tritium you need a good lume shot. I expect most people will say it costs too much, but most people will be desk divers and won't be looking for a watch they can rely on to potentially save their lives. I don't dive and yes, this is too much for me, but for someone that dives, this is probably an ideal watch at good price that will last ten years keeping them alive and safe. At around £50 per year, sounds like a bargain!

I’ve had my Nite MX10 for 5 years , required a new battery. Absolutely amazing watch. Great Lume and timepiece. Buy one 👍

One more correction: Nite does make Automatic watches, the Icon Automatic with Sellita SW200.

I have a Nite Alpha that i purchased in black date at three around 11yrs ago. I had it serviced by Nite about 4yrs ago as the battery died on it. They say 10 year battery but no guaranty on that. Nice looking watch but feels a little top heavy. The stainles strap could have been finished a bit better as it has a lot of sharp edges, sharp enough to peel spuds with.

Today is Monday, September 12th. I set my Nite Alpha @ this midnight -new year. It's running fast now by 12 seconds. Ronda. ...as to the T100 Tritium - I sleep in a pitch-black room. When my 60 year old prostate wakes me up at 3am, I'm able to see well enough to not step on my wife's cat on my way to the bathroom... with my Alpha's glow alone. I've ran this watch through the wringer too - it's a tank, to be sure... and holding up the *Black Tie* look, even after all I've put it through. But; Anyone running ops would *absolutely* need a cover band. This thing is crazy bright. It may as well be 3 on a match.

You’ve bought this watch because the main feature is the constant lume tubes, but yet don’t include any lume night shots!?!?!?! Don’t give up your day job!!!

I actually agree, the tubes are the main draw of the watch. The link only shows and image, people want to see it live. Flick a light off for 10 to 15 seconds of your 15 min vid

As good dive watches go, that's pretty normal. It's first and foremost, a purpose built watch, not made to look pretty. There are no end of pretty watches. Big tritium tubes in the face and both hands need a greater clearance, and I'm sure the sapphire crystal is substantially thick,

There is no such thing as T25 and T100 tubes, this is a very common misconception. That number refers to the total amount of radiation on the watch. The T25 norm allows a watch to have up to 25mCi (MilliCurries) of radiation while the T100 allows 4 times as much, or a maximum of 100mCi. Some countries do not allow the importation of T100 watches.

Sylvain Duford you’re right, my mistake. Just checked the Nite site and it says: “The T rating relates to the total watch radiation content, measured in millicuries. We offer both T25 and T100 GTLS watches.”

That's the battery lifespan. In 10 years change the battery and keep on going.

Absolutely beautiful watch but..... man is it thick . If it was 40-41 mm and a max 12 mm thickness they would fly of the shelves . To thick for my taste but to each there own

This can't compete with a Zelos or a Borealis... good tho if it was about a 100 pounds cheaper I would pick one up as holiday diving watch, or day to day because if u damage, scratch or break u wouldn't be too pissed off. I wouldn't pay more than 250 for this tho.

That tritium tube in pip is not rare. Every Luminox watch with bezel have one.

Nite is way better than Luminox. Used both. Luminox marketing is bullshit Navy seal stuff. Navy Seals use Suunto, Garmin and GSHOCK. Luminox maybe better in some things but Nite Tritium tubes and quality is better... And those Trustpilot reviews tell the story.

I throw the doxes in the trash as soon as the watch comes out of it, so why pay for a fancy case. As far as the movement goes, I have the same one in 2 of my Luminox watches, both keep excellent time, and one of them is 25 years old and has had ONE battery change in that time. It's a proven work horse even at the few bucks it costs.
