I was informed that the XE was a better on road than the EC. They could not put their finger on why the EC slid more on road? They mostly all said it could be the different geometry. Having watched and learned from this video, the XE has lean angle assistance , no wonder they struggled with the XC. They needed the aids to stay on the bike! Ive ordered the XC as I like my ride to be inputted by me!

got the XC and love it. i bet my XC can do everything the XE can do. that 50mm more in suspension travel, wider handlebars , and longer swingarm, isn’t going to change anything. if i bought the XE i would love it just as much. these bikes are awesome !!!

Very good video. Being an owner of a 2019 XC and now the 2022 XE, I can definitely say without bias that the XE is superior in almost every way from my experience. The XE is also far more cost effective due to the added electronic features and added ride geometry due to the longer swing arm, wider handle bars and longer travel suspension. My 2019 had a stalling issue that the dealer was unwilling to acknowledge. However, it was sorted in the 2022. Another big issue the earlier models had was the heat coming from the cat which was located in front of the riders right thigh area. They now have relocated the cat behind the rider as an all in one unit with the silencer. How it would feel for the passenger now would be the new question. Lastly, I'm 5'8" on a good day and the XE seat height should not be a concern for riders with experience as I can get two toes down in most cases or a sure one foot. My biggest gripe now is that for 2022 models, the XE does not come with heated grips as standard but yet they raised the prices to include paint options. Otherwise, I love the scrams enough to have had two without hesitation. A very fun bike to ride.
