Welcome to 2021!! My goodness it's been a long time since I uploaded a video... Blame homeschooling! They're back and I have time to create!
So, I've been a little busy over the winter and maybe buying things...
New pipes! Lighter, shinier, louder... Couldn't be better!
New brass bits too...

You’re welcome! Just be careful of the packaging. Some grit had got in one plastic bag and scratched it. I sent them back and got a replacement. All fine. Would have polished out easily too but I felt they should at least arrive perfect! Replacement sent no arguments at all and very good.

Delicious! I've just recently acquired a T100 myself, in the black/white scheme akin to your Speedy, and exhausts are for sure on the radar once I have the money available for some nice peashooters (probably with a tune and air filter so they play nicely). Ref the reg plate, I'm planning on sticking to yellow/black too for the same reasons, but I will get a nice pressed metal one at some point to replace the ugly plastic. Ride on, Capt.

Thank you sir! I can recommend Weslakes or British customs pipes any day of the week! If it's a post 2017 model bike you shouldn't need to remap... Air filter always helps! My plate is metal too... Thanks for watching and for commenting! Tally Bally Ho!

Maybe. There was a change on the 1st Jan this year. It might not apply to bikes though but it was on a classic car page that I follow... I thought better safe than sorry. I can always put the black one back on for things like the DGR or classic meets...

I thought harleys and Indians had fenders, and the triumph had mudguards 🤔, lovely machine and sounds awesome. Nice to see another video after quite a while.

Ah, I would normally say mudguard, but as this is marketed by Triumph as a Fender, I thought that I would save any confusion and say fender... Also, it's not much of a guard against mud is it?! :-) Thanks for watching!

He's back ! What is it about tunnels, I too just feel the need to slow down (makes the tunnel last longer), slip the clutch and rev up !

How did you stop the side stand hitting the frame or exhaust as the thor has no bracket for side stand as on the OME parts?

Looking good! Sounds almost as nice as my Speedmaster with the Zard’s and x pipe :) I am am thinking about following your lead with the straight bars .. we’ll see! Have fun

I'll do my best! Ooh, now I seem to remember that I didn't like the look of the Zards? Do you have the baffles in or is it now just a straight through pipe? Not sure I could live with it if it sounds like my old thrusty did... Also knackered the fuel consumption... THis hasn't affected the fuel consumption so far...

@@CaptainRambunctious I left the baffles in , sounds great! I also x piped and air box removal - much lighter and it feels much peppier! Didn’t notice any fuel mileage change ..

@@MaxMeridius0920 Sounds encouraging. I didn't know that you could do an airbox removal on the newer speedmasters or do you have one of the older ones? I'm sorry, I can't remember... I'd definitely think about the airbox removal if it can be done on the liquid cooled 1200s.

@@CaptainRambunctious my Speedmaster is a 2018 .. I got my air box kit from AJ Cycles of NY - they do have a KZfaq video that walks you through - of course it’s a Bobber , but same thing

The noise these modern triumph twins make is absolutely fucking brutal! My 1600 T bird sounds like this but a LOT more beefy obviously being a 1600😉 The problem is the sound is addictive and it encourages you to rev out the motor...

Absolutely! Well I did have the Storm once upon a time... :-) Very happy with this! :-) Not sure what else I want to do at the moment but I'm sure I'll think of something... Maybe completely black it out, but I also like the shiny bits! :-)

They don't come with a bracket for the side stand rubber buffer, so can you add a picture of what was fitted to stop the side stand hitting the pipes.

You're absolutely right! Only just looked. The side stand doesn't hit the pipes though, but it does now rest on the frame. Considering I've had these for 9000 miles now, id have expected some damage, but the frame paint is barely marked?! Thank you for the info though... Getting Sleeper pros soon so will check that they have the rubber bung... Thanks again!

I won’t be decatting it... I think I have the balance just right now. But I’ll never say never... if I were to decat, I’d put the baffles back in...

They are just the straight bars that you can get as an accessory. Essentially the bobber black bars. Nice too If you are trying to make a speedmaster black like me...

Hi l test rode a 2019 speed master the other day and it seems to get a lot of vibration through the footpegs at higher revs, is this normal or not, the bike only has 3200km

I get ‘some’ vibration at arpund 4000rpm that then disappear as you go even higher… is this what you experienced? If so, this is normal… I think it’s to do with there the forward controls bar is attached to the engine and so on to the pegs?

Having said that, I don’t rev it out too often as it pulls really well lower down!

Absolutely brilliant. They are twin Brembos after all! The bobber only had a single disc up front and was still ok…

I’d say better because there’s more space for luggage as well. The only worse thing about Merlin than a bobber is ground clearance in corners but it certainly isn’t limiting...
