In this video I will walk through the process of changing the front sprocket from a factory 16 Tooth to a smaller 15 Tooth to determine if it will help or hurt off-road riding.

I have a 850 Tiger Sport and just went to a 15t from sprocket. My main complaint was getting off from a start with the wife on board. Now its much better. I hardly hit the highway so this isn't going to bother me in that respect. I'm happy with the change.

Thanks for your video very clear instructions. I have just got a GT Pro I love t he bike. I like to do my own maintenance but I am struggling to find a workshop manual with the torque settings for various part of the bike. I'm based in the UK and no one seems to produce manuals for this bike. Interested to know where you got the settings?

good informative video, i have an extra question! Where did you get your rear turnsign, its with the running and breaking line correct? Could you make a vid how to instal them i would really apreciate it. Best regards from Europe Belgium. Grts Dennis

Are you speaking of the rear turn signals that also turn red when braking but amber if turning? This was a factory feature on mine.

Great video Is the speedometer reading accurate now with the 15 tooth or does it throw it off like it does when changing tire sizes.

I am not sure what years this applies but mine has wheel speed sensor so changing the sprocket doesn’t affect speedometer accuracy.

Have you used any GPS to compare against Triumphs speedo reading, as some videos claim stock reading shows approx. 5 mph above actual speed. Thx.@@timwith2wheels

the bike is super short in 6th gear/ratio, don't understand why you went to a lower tooth front sprocket. I'm changing g to a 17

I never ride over 100mph and it will do that easily. I enjoy offroad technical riding and it is nice that it is more like a tractor in first gear. :) Also it will stand up very easily now. ;)
