Best practise is to disconnect earth/minus from battery first then plus, when connecting battery plus first, earth/minus last.

Got the 2020 model Speed Twin. After each winter it had troubles starting, but a recharge got it working again in 2021, 2022 and a couple of weeks ago. Last years I managed to use it the entire season without voltage drops. This time it quickly loses voltage, i guess i'll have to replace it soon.

I have a 2020 triumph speed twin 1200. It's my first bike. I live in New Hampshire and it gets cold. I'm keeping my bike under a carport with a cover on it for the winter. I put stabil in the gas tank and ran it for a few minutes. My question is, can I leave my battery in the bike for the winter and just attack the battery tender to it? It has a pig tail sticking out to hook up the tender.

I dont see why not! I've gone winters with my battery plugged in, and also not plugged in. Seems to work alright 👍
