2005 was the year that shaped my music taste. I was 14 and played the crap out of this album and Bullet For My Valentine’s “The Poison”. To this day, them and Trivium are my two favorite bands and I’ve had the pleasure to see both of them perform live.

I still remember this coming on some MTV or VH1 hour at like 2 in the morning when I should’ve been long asleep before my summer job the next morning. I was big into KSE, Atreyu, 36 Crazyfists, and the like and this song added Trivium to that list.

I remember I went to see this band play live way back in 2006 for my 16th birthday. Little did I know that the guys on stage, who were opening for Iron Maiden on their tour, were only 4 or 5 years older than me. The oldest guy on stage that time was 21. It's honestly baffling just how talented all those guys were, especially when I think back to what I was like at 21. Amazing artists.

I like all of Triviums albums, there music is so good and lot of it has meaning and some political. If you really take time to listen to the lyrics, you find they are not that negative, they speak about the world and struggles of being human.
