I am just a little disappointed that Trixie isn’t wearing her role in the show loud and proud but given the circumstances drag queens are under right now I won’t judge her for it or hold it against her. It’s actually completely understandable as it could put her in danger or worsen the situation for her. I just wish we lived in a different timeline where she could share this win with us and not have to feel that fear 😢

I feel like shes doing this even more for the fans of monster high than for herself. She's still going to, performing at & promoting adult events. I think keeping quiet on this was entirely for the fans who are kids. Nobody wants ANYONE getting hurt but being involved in something where kids end up getting hurt would be something most ppl couldn't come back from, imo. 💜

People, in my opinion, must realize that WE are the majority. WE meaning non judgmental of lbgdq or race or hobbies, etc. WE are just… quieter, living our own lives and letting others live theirs. Those OTHERS are noisy bullies. They know they’re the minority and try to bully everyone to do what THEY want. THEY’RE hungry for power. WE have got to be aware of this, and stand up for ourselves and for everyone that just can’t.

actually the LGBTQ is now the majority. I think everyone should do whatever they want, just leave kids to be non sexual, until they are mature enough to handle that stuff. Which is why we have an age of consent. It should apply to everything.

Thank you so much for making this video. As a brit without cable, I had no idea this ban was going on. As a queer woman with a trans male cousin and a drag queen in my extended family, I honestly could cry for y'all. I'm tearing up right now. Thank god Mattel is still representing the LGBT community and providing important opportunities for queer artists and writers. I can only hope for better times in the future and for strength to all those having to live with these bans. My heart goes out to all transwomen in america most of all, but also to the drag queens who can't make a living due to their art form being banned. Are their any charities people can donate to or campaigns we can support to help remove these bans?

There’s a charity called TDDL (the drag defence league) the ACLU are fundraising, PEG records just did the #dragisntdangerous telethon which just raised 500k and they’re still raising money to help fight for our community too🤍✨🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Legit it’s terrifying I’m from the UK too and my heart is honestly hurting so bad for my american LGBTQiA+ community because it’s honestly just terrifying to think if these laws actually become enacted then a trans woman could be arrested and jailed for “being in drag” when in reality they’re not whatsoever the whole thing is literally a governmental hate crime and that’s exactly what it is, have a Google as there’s protests happening over the next few months in the major city’s (London, Glasgow, Cardiff etc) to fight as I swear to god I will never stops fighting if that shit starts happening here too (that’s not to say just because it’s outside the uk I’ll do nothing because that’s absolutely not the case but there’s only so much you can do over here because my health won’t allow me to fly over for any of the big protests in the USA but whatever I can do from here I will) I don’t think it would happen over here *I pray it doesnt* but I don’t think it’d stand a chance actually being made a law here because I don’t think the UK is anywhere near as homophobic & transphobic as America is and I pray so so much for anywhere being affected by all this BS that’s going on rn because it’s so so appalling that politicians are more concerned about a drag queen reading a book to kids than an assault rifle being bought into classrooms- no drag queen fired bullets at kids yet it’s the drag artist that’s dangerous like fml put that same “protect the kids” mentality towards what’ll end their life in their classroom and the world would be a lot safer🙃🤦🏼‍♀️

Trixie was considered in like late 2019/2020 for the role. When it was starting to be workshopped, before sooooo many things shifted around. I am sure they were under contract too not mention it for a good while until it came out. But by the time it came out all this other mess spilled out over anti LGBT+ laws and being attacked. I think on a safety thing. It is for the best, at least for the momment. Because how currently backwards people are currently and laws that does leave Trixie in a vonurable spot.

Even before you showed the clip I knew exactly why they didn’t want to talk about it. Trixie has been very vocal about trans bans, the labeling of being a pedo, and how ridiculous they are! Edit: also I think Trixie might have felt they were going back on their word. She used to say, “I want nothing to do with your kids! My drag is adults only.” But I don’t think them playing a voice on a show is a big deal. Their actual drag is still R rated.

I'm not a fan of Trixie, but I certainly don't hate her & I totally get why she didn't promote the episode. In fact, I feel like Trixie's reasoning is kinda why mattel isn't really promoting g3. G3 monster high has so much more representation, but there's always going to be people who don't like that representation. Like when people were screaming crying throwing up about Frankie being non binary. I don't think mattel just doesn't care about g3, it's just that with this new representation, they don't want to do anything to in danger the communities that the new g3 characters are representing.

Ugh Trixie made me tear up at that, it's just so many people are willing to drag (no pun intended) the rest of the world backwards with them. We're starting to see it here in Australia, you know, the place that has one of the best LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, the country that introduced colour television with a much beloved "bloke in a dress" decades ago. So yes, this is important, but I understand why Trixie chose to keep quiet on it. It honestly surprises me what little backlash Monster High is receiving for its stories and representation, but it also makes me happy that us monsters have a little corner of the world for us. But all the secrecy around the Monster High in the story is very indicative of where we are at now in the world. We have to keep it on the down low, so we don't scare the humans. Once again, your editing and attitude in this video are chef's kiss. Loved joining your Whatnot stream too 🖤🖤

I love the new Monster High! And I love the representation! My kids are both LGBT so representation is important to me. My kid and I were so disappointed when the big D cancelled Owl House. It was such an awesome show and had, what I and my kid felt was such authentic representation with Luz and Amity's relationship. We both got teary when it became apparent that Frankie and Cleo were going to be a thing on MH. I hope franchises continue to represent the LGBT community. Love you sweetie!

I like that they didn't say anything. The reason why is that the crazies couldn't get the show banned. By keeping quiet until the show airs allows the show to get out there. Now that the show has been seen and people know it is out there it can't disappear completely.

I respect and fully understand why Trixie didnt want to promote the episode. Unfortunately there is a LOT of political tension and unrest in the nation between anti lgbtq laws to the overturning of Roe vs Wade. She doesnt deserve political hatred for such a silly reason. As far as kids go, let them be kids. Give them time and space to find themselves. They have a whole lifetime to find themselves. We all do.

I liked trixie Mattel as skelly vonderbone and hope there will be more episodes with her in the future. I’m sad to hear that she didn’t share about her part because she was afraid to with those drag bans going on. I hope that a skelly vonderbone episode in the future can have a much better experience before airing. Frankly a drag ban seems stupid to me and just let people be who they want to be and makes them happy it’s not hurting anyone.

I loved watching Trixie on the show. I knew her from drag race anyhow and thought it was uber cool that she got to actually work w Mattel. I know some people think its forced but I feel like it isnt? Ive been watching the show on cable since it started and I think the issues at hand are being handled respectfully and thoughtfully. Watching Cleo and Frankie build up a romance was actually very sweet. My mom and I watch it whenever its on. She doesnt really get it, but it makes me happy so we watch together. idk these are things I always wanted to see in shows when I was growing up queer. I dont really like the concept of "rainbow capitalism" but when we were kids it was seriously difficult to even shoehorn in a gay comment into a kids show. Now idk its really nice to see characters like myself.

I am a 55 y.o. mom who has adult children in their mid - late 20s. MH was around when they were young but wasn't in their radar. I always thought it was adorable and then I think that it disappeared. Anyway I stumbled on a clip of your mom n found you and I wanted to take a moment to let you know that this DEFINITELY EDUCATED ME from your perspective as a child and not being acknowledged as a boy who liked the dolls.. I never put much thought into your situation since I had no experience with anyone in your reality. BRAVO!!!!! AND YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON STARTING A COLLECTION OF MH DOLLS. Oh are they related to Bratz cause my daughter had a few of them and I remember that they were banded as being inappropriate... so ridiculous. Also, I applaud the fact that you can discuss this with a demeanor that isn't smug sarcastic or even angry. Your maturity and your presence is something that is needed. CLAWDEENA IDK IF YOU HEARD! So monster high recently came to Spain and with all this, we are getting the new series and , the topic i wanna talk about, the doll's songs, so, in Frankie's song, they DO NOT use they them pronouns and refer to Frankie as a she/her, and personally i am scared that they are getting rainbow washed, because we are not getting any homophobic laws here in Spain, so this was kinda scary and interesting

Wait so Spanish is using she her instead of they them? The song literally says It's they for me not he or she coz labels ain't a thing for me... How did it got translated so it becomes she?

@@emikawaneru666 that's in the song exactly the same, translated tho, but something i noticed is that in the nickelodeon series they still use non binary pronouns with them. So this only happens in the song
