Reinstalled Dota2 for like the 4th time after getting inspired by these videos. That was a mistake. Played 3 games at "calibrating for bronze" level, and every time the same thing happened. Some _obviously_ very far from bronze monster beat us all up and game was over in 15 minutes. In game two I was fiddling around off lane thinking I was doing OK (for a clueless player) but I did hear a lot of dying going on. So at around the 10 minute mark I had the presence of mind to look at the score, and we had 1 kill and they had 19. 19... That's almost 2 kills pr minute from minute 1. And most of them were done by the same guy. IDK what Dota think they accomplished with the Smurf purge, but the reality is: Nada. As if the game wasn't hard enough to get into without it. I won't reinstall it ever again (though I'm pretty sure I said the same thing 2 years ago)

calibrating for bronze Legit no clue what you're talking about. First off, that's not a thing in Dota. Secondly, if you're a brand-spanking new player you're not calibrating for shit. You'd need 100 hours to get to that point. Mandatory. Lastly, kinda your own fault if you think a game that's 10+ years old is gonna have 9 perfectly different, perfectly new players on the exact same plane of skill as you to match with constantly. Sounds like you felt too proud to play co-op bots and got rolled by people who knew how an active item works.
