Gor has to be amongst the most underrated weightlifters of all times, just because he is under Lasha, but this guy is no doubt one of the best heavy lifters of all times!!!! Just amazing to watch this guys train... BTW, I think Martirosyan is making a mistake moving up a weight category... But time will tell!!!!
@matthewmckee62892 жыл бұрын
He knows he will struggle to compete with Akbar, and maybe even Ruslan now. Obviously I’m just speculating, but I think he probably just wants to have some fun and see what he can do. Sure he probably isn’t going to win anything, Gor and Lalyan will likely still be ahead of him.

Too True. Gor has become one of my favourite lifters to watch!

There are 3 guys who snatch over 200, gor is one of them. That should tell everyone something.

The tricep extensions with 70kg at the end are so impressive and cool
@millermark4452 жыл бұрын
Unconventional. Bodybuilders normally do those extensions with an EZ-curl bar.

@googas You're right. That would be almost a sacrilege, if not an insult to Olympic lifters.

Simon has already moved to the super heavy category, placing third behind Lalayan and Minasyan with a total of 430kg in the Armenian championship days ago.

For real. Most of us mortals could MAYBE move 210 and 220lbs that fast.

@@iowa_don cheating who? its hardly cheating if hes the only player, is it?
@iowa_don2 жыл бұрын
@@kaliningradtoczechrepublic8162 cheat - to deceive, to violate rules or regulations. In general when you cheat, you are only cheating yourself. Except when you cheat to get a degree, then you are defrauding future employers who expect that when you got your degree, you did the work yourself and did not copy or steal work from other students. The cheating here is like the difference between a press and a push press. The first involves just the arms and delts. The second involves the arms, delts AND legs. Clearly you can push press more than you can press. Also if you do "triceps extensions" which involve a kick from your calves you will be able to do more than if you just use your triceps. BUT is it really a "triceps extension" as most would define it? I think not. I find it interesting that an olympic weightlifter who has to follow the rules to get a clean lift in competition, would "cheat" on ancillary exercises. If the goal is to get strong triceps, don't involve your legs. If he reports to some other lifter that he can do "triceps extensions" with 70 KG he is actually lying.
@kaliningradtoczechrepublic81622 жыл бұрын
@@iowa_don i still dont think hes cheating, because for all i know he learned to do the exercise that way. Also cheating seems to be to harsh of a word in my opinion, since hes not doing it for hypertrophy a lot of weightlifters tend to swing the weight more. Same with rows for example. However in the end its just a definition question so who cares
