That requires an incredible amount of time, years even to get to the level to even be competitive against a rated player. People just want instant gratification, and don't care too much about long term satisfaction. It seems like a majority of the new influx of chess players have fallen into this mindset that cheating is okay, mainly due to the fact that they arent here for a long time, just for a good time. Its hard to have a good time playing chess when they don't know how to play without using an engine. Once they realize that they arent getting any kind of personal benefit from their strategy, meaning they see no self-improvement, they leave the game as if they never played it to begin with.

@@ReadIcculus93 Some people in chess break all opening principles and do all kinds of weird moves like moving queen early and pushing a lot of pawns and still win. This is because until you become a grandmaster chess is nothing but a game of luck. This is because people at low rating have literally no understanding of the position. So when they make moves they don't think whether position will improve or become worse. So unless there's a tactic and the player spots it the chance of him making a good move or bad movie is just a matter of coin flip. So in this game of luck that people pretend to be " intellectual" and it doesn't really take years. It's just a matter of who has good memory. Those who have photographic memory can easily gain 400-500 elo in a few months.

@@achyuththouta6957 it's anything but a coin flip. Perhaps against people your own rating, it can come down to a number of tiny factors which gives one person the advantage over the other. I can confidently say I have friends who play occasionally who I can beat 100% of the time. Litterally people ove played dozens of times and never beat me. I'm only rated 1500, im no grandmaster. That's without using any opening theory. I have even played against said friends down rooks and still never lost to them. Opening principles are meant to be broken. You just have to know when to break them.

I feel good knowing knowing that this video only got a few likes compared to the amount of views. As someone who plays competitive multiplayer games, saying it’s just a game is not an excuse especially due to the fact that this guy is a streamer so probably playing chess is more like a job than a game.

Funny thing is you can't cheat with a real board. If im playing against 3200 Rated engines online Imagine what ill do to an 1800 rated player that can't cheat. I'm 1600-1800 on a board and only 800 online because of how many people cheat with chess engines. I study openings and traps there is a difference in knowing what to do and just doing what your told. I just started to get back into chess and when im playing against 400 rated players that play better than grand masters it makes me not even want to play chess at all. very upsetting. Your not even playing chess if you are relying on a computer to make your moves.

People learn chess to experience the dopamine hit of winning - zero other reason. Cheaters do the same, but with fewer steps. Strong engines came along and made their time investment in learning all the nuances and phases of the game worthless in all but OTB high security events and now they're salty and bitter. Now that anyone else can feel that dopamine hit without investing decades into the game or being a prodigy, suddenly it's unfair and cheating now that they can't abuse you on the other side of a chess board anymore and get their coveted hit of dopamine off from you - lol, I think I hear the tiniest violin playing for them. Before computers were even a thing, stronger rated players would lie about their rating to abuse their opponents... yup, been going as long as the game has existed; it's called hustling. Now those cheaters are getting cheated - it's pretty sweet actually lol.

I know what you mean, something about the game has always attracted trickery to a point that it is just part of the game now. That being said, it is understandable that someone who takes the game seriously would find cheaters to be a nuisance, I think that much is common sense.

I mean there is an elo system for a reason, even if someone is lying about their elo, at least you know it's a really good player when facing them. If they didn't - then they wouldn't mind playing an engine all day and losing, or playing a cheater - because they "enjoy the game" so much that learning from a superior opponent would be a rewarding experience. But we both know that's not satisfying... is it. They want their win... just like anyone else. And they cry when "cheater!" just like everyone else when they don't get it - basic human psychology.

@@thom1218 I'm only 900 elo, and I have gotten 5 messages this month about people being banned that I played against. Just played one the morning of posting this, goes from 40% accuracy avg And winning half their games, To 90%+ accuracy average on every single game overnight with wins across the board. Been playing for a month and just got 900 elo, so that means people were cheating as low as 300 elo from all the account that I've seen banned. Cheating is lame and messes up the experience for everyone else.

A game where no one haves fun except 14 year old script kiddies in a loveless home, so what you're saying is "let people have fun while i don't let anyone have fun"
