Trolling COLD Water for Lake Erie Walleye

Күн бұрынRecorded on March 31st, 2024. Carter and Hudson spent the day trolling the western basin of Lake Erie. We found our target species but it certainly proved to be tough fishing. When the water is cold, it's time to slow down your trolling.
Surface Temperature: 41.8F
We found one active pod of fish in 22ft of water. A custom flashy-blue and Taco Salad were the hot colours! We probably went 10/15 on hits, these fish are biting incredibly soft.

Nice video, I appreciate the talking and explaining during the video. I'm tired of these other videos that just show constant footage of trolling with some catching. IMO, most people want to learn something by clicking on a video. Keep up the great work!

I know exactly what you mean! We truly have a boat load of information we want to share. But at the same time, someone giving a lecture for ten minutes isn’t entertaining either. We’re learning, trying to find the right presentation format. Thanks for watching!

Is it 3 lines per person on erie?

As far as Ontario sport fishing licenses, we're only allowed two lines per person. I believe Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York are allowed three. Canada is late to the game with most things unfortunately!
