10 жыл бұрынThis is just quick and rough draft DEM simulation of Trommel, as one can see a lot can go wrong. In this case the main thing is the speed of the Trommel, it is too fast causing a higher centrifugal force then desired.

Hello Daniel my name is Fernando. This simulation is interesting. I'm working in my thesis, i'm designing a drum trommel for classificating palm nut. It would be very important for me if you could give me information about the programme that you use for simulating and if you could help me with some information for design trommels. Hi Fernando, sorry I have only just noticed your question. I use Solidworks to create 3D Models and I convert them into STL files then import them into a program called Newton to do the DEM studies. Unfortunately for students these DEM programs are very expensive and trial/academic versions I believe are not available. The Program simulates individual particles and how they react to other particles, so knowing about the material properties that you would like to process is key, particularly cohesion value.
