I have a feeling Bridges isnt in it much tho. Hope he doesnt die is all. I REALLY wish theyd go back to the basics w the look. Cuz the original... with the exception of the tanks, bikes and recognizers wasnt about game graphics. It was representative of circuitry and programs... so imo the idea of a more surrealistic look w less realism makes total sense to be maintained cuz it was about a different plane of existence. And agrre whole heartedly I dont really wanna see shit in the real world. Or tbh.. Id have loved jf that was the ultimate goal of a program/programs were to crossover... only to find out theres no way for them to crossover. Or at least not right now. And in doing so they cant translate properly. Yes Kora did so in Legacy but she also was an Iso... not a mere program.

After Tron Legacy it is nearly impossible to set another highlight. Fir me it seems that sometimes franchises are squeezed out one movie or season too much. 😕

That is a big question I have regarding this one… who will do the soundtrack?! Wendy Carlos was amazing on the original and Daft Punk was a perfect choice for Legacy

I don’t personally have an issue with CG (when done well) especially in a Tron film but I believe he was referring more to the sets and the fact that technology has advanced leaps and bounds even just in the last 14 years. Also, it’s the dude man. He’s part hippy so I’m guessing he doesn’t fully understand all the tech lol.

@TheMovieMix76 right but I am not just responding to this, but to the current "mantra" and full media blitz of No CGI and most VFX. My examples were some of the worst so far. Using VFX to hide the props for.... VFX in the "making of" specifically to show the process. All the combat shots in top gun were full CGI... a good hunk of the movie, let alone mundane elements. Yet a full on press on how all of it was practical. And noted on specifically by all the actors. His poor comment "less AI"? Just blew the entire quote for me and it really shouldn't have. And yes I know he doesn't have a clue.. more the reason not to even reference it. The reality is some actors have been told directly to bring it up. .... this is part of the problem! He just made a hash of it.. but also mingled with good musing on the change of technology. Like I said, I like him and understand it's outside his purview. Just really rubbed me the wrong way, straw broke back thing etc. Sorry for the rant.

@@taerog oh no, I hear you and again, I’m not against CGI when done well but I do prefer they use it to enhance rather than replace when possible (understanding sometimes it just isn’t). Also, like I said it’s a Tron film so computer generated content is sort of their thing.

I’m worried but I’m trying to stay hopeful. Either way I’ll still have the first two!

@@TheMovieMix76 Yes, me too. Best thing to do: Just don't expect anything, low expectations. I'm pretty sure they will ruin Tron by it being 100% in real life, not inside the computer, which is what Tron is really about. Also, Tron Legacy had the absolutely amazing Daft Punk Soundtrack and the visuals were amazing, really taking the next step how Tron looked, it was original and amazing, like the original was. I doubt the new one will have that much originality. In any case, all other franchises have been done to death, Tron just had 2 films, so another one can't hurt AND like you said we have Tron Legacy, PLUS "Tron Uprising" is really amazing, it got cancelled because it was too expensive, but really amazing visuals, totally awesome. Also a distinct art style.
